the beauty of real stone paving There s no doubt about it. When it comes to attracting attention and creating an emotional response, few other landscaping choices make quite the same impact as natural stone paving.

Here s the secret Using the PietraPave system we bond natural cropped stone paving to a robust and durable backing mat. Your paving solution arrives on site as a collection of pre-cut mats, allowing you to lay and finish in a fraction of the time of traditional methods. Less time for you means less cost for your customers: A stunning job, at a greatly reduced cost. It s five or six times faster than block paving or any other material you d put down. 4 design s the limit

The PietraPave range features a vast array of pre-set designs from the stunningly simple, to the impressively intricate. Mix and match to complement or accentuate your design theme. Laying couldn t be simpler The PietraPave installation process might be new to you, but it couldn t be easier! Simply lay each mat onto a prepared screed and compact down to levels. Grouting is equally fuss-free with our Nexus resin-based mortar. This reduces cleaning for you in the short-term and maximizes durability for your customers in the long-term. It was much quicker to lay than I could have ever imagined.

seeing is believing

Across the UK, contractors and their customers are achieving astounding results using the PietraPave system. Ask about our CAD services for new opportunities in both street works and prestige domestic projects. We were delighted with the outcome and it has certainly enhanced the appearance of our property in terms of kerb appeal and also value. The granite fans are a very cost effective and innovative product that I would recommend to any of our clients and other homeowners seeking to improve their property. 8 affordable real stone paving - without compromise

PietraPave reduces manual handling and bending massively, as well as being twice as quick to cut as individual block paving. The finished look and quality of PietraPave speaks for itself. Gareth Baldwin - Paving contrator PietraPave is a range of real stone paving, pre-cut into an extensive range of laying patterns and solidly bonded to a robust and durable backing mat.

It looks absolutely amazing, far better than I envisaged. It was so straight forward to put down, the installation flowed easily. It was much quicker to lay than we could have ever imagined. Definitely something I would use again. Paul Kenworthy, Landscaping Contractor. case study: Chartres Labyrinth St Andrew Church, Longton

The church had some funding to transform a wasteland area within the Church grounds. It was decided to use this opportunity to try and introduce a new focal point for year round community events and to provide an outdoor area for Sunday school. The symbolic design of the Chartres Labyrinth was chosen and consultation with the contractor of how to implement within budget began. PietraPave was initially considered as an option because the intricacy of the design could be met using a natural stone. The speed of installation keeps labour costs to a minimum something other solutions couldn t provide. The design process continued and following the selection of the colours and final finish of the stone the 6.2m diameter Labyrinth went into production. On arrival to site the ground was prepared ready to receive the PietraPave mats. The crates all carefully labelled so the design can very easily be reconstructed directly onto the ground. The first mat was ceremoniously laid at 12.30pm, with the final mat laid before 5pm the same afternoon. Over 30m² of setts laid with tremendous accuracy to a bespoke design in only four and a half hours. Following completion the revitalised area has been welcomed by all attracting a lot of attention from the congregation of the church and wider community, even the local media is showing an interest. PietraPave has provided a complete solution, from the early design stages on the drawing board all the way through to installation on the ground, something that has been built to last.

case study: Bespoke Path - Private House, Hoghton

The client had requested a traditional cobbled path linking the front of the house to the rear garden a total length of approx 65m. The contractor had started to establish prices on various options to suit the brief including PietraPave, a product he had not used before. The projected costs made PietraPave a clear option. Working with the contractor we suggested having PietraPave specifically designed and manufactured to meet the requirement to accelerate the installation. The result was two interlocking mats, that when placed together formed the exact width for the path eliminating the need for cutting on each row as well as hand placing each individual piece. The installation on site was even faster than imagined. With the accuracy of PietraPave, the mats went down one after another with very little adjustment all perfectly in line. Nexus Pro-Joint V75-WT was used in joints to complete the project. The progress made in little over 30 minutes would have taken us close to two days, on top of that the finish looks amazing, far better than doing it by hand. Jason Gooch - Bedrock Landscapes Delighted it looks amazing, we were amazed at how quickly it was laid. Customer

ProJoint V75-WT Two-part epoxy resin mortar system suitable for vehicles up-to 7.5 tonnes with increased water tolerance. A specialist solution to filling joints between paving slabs and setts, suitable for natural stone and concrete paving on pedestrian and vehicular areas with medium to heavy vehicle loads up-to 7.5 tonnes. Nexus Professional surfacing systems ProJoint V400-WT Two-part epoxy resin mortar system suitable for vehicles up-to 40 tonnes with increased water tolerance. A specialist solution to filling joints between paving slabs and setts, suitable for natural stone and concrete paving on pedestrian and vehicular areas with medium to heavy vehicle loads up-to 40 tonnes.

The two part epoxy resin system is easily mixed and quickly applied as a slurry to dampened paving. It has increased water tolerance to give the great advantage enabling use in damp weather and light rain. Its high performance means that it is used widely for domestic and commercial projects where medium traffic loading is required and when laid in times of inclement weather. Two part resin based mortar system, cement free Medium to heavy traffic loads up to 7.5 tonnes, ProJoint V75-WT is ideal for driveways and high traffic areas Heavy traffic loads up to 40 tonnes, ProJoint V400-WT ideal for high traffic areas and roadways Fast application Easy: No more bending or kneeling and much less effort Applied to wet surfaces + increased water tolerance for use in light rain Professional results: No mess, and no returning for cleaning Self compacting and suitable for joint widths from 5mm upwards Weed, pressure washer and frost resistant Colours available: Neutral (buff), Mid-Grey and Black Preparation Ensure the joints are cleaned out to a minimum depth of 25mm for maximum traffic loading and a minimum joint width of 5mm. Paving must be firmly bedded and stable prior to filling joints on bedding material suitable for the intended traffic loading. Liberally wet the paving prior to mixing allowing the water to soak into the surface. V75-WT can be mixed in either a rotary concrete mixer or by using a drill and paddle in a mixing vessel. Add the sand to the mixer and when wearing appropriate PPE, pour the resin and hardener together and begin mixing. Mix for around two minutes until thoroughly mixed and then add litres of water to the mix. Mix for a further three minutes until homogenous and the mix becomes a free flowing slurry. Application Ensure that the paving is still damp and ground temperature is between 0 C and 25 C. Empty the mix directly onto the paving and using a squeegee or brush the mix over the total area allowing the empty joints to fill completely. After 10 to 15 minutes use a soft brush at 45 to joints and sweep off the excess sand leaving the paving clean. The fluid nature of the mortar means that no further compaction of the joint is required. A trowel or iron can be used if necessary once the mortar has begun to cure to achieve a traditional finish. Increased water tolerance means that the product can be used in light rain but does need protecting from prolonged and heavy rain as this will delay the cure and could cause fluid damage. Make sure that any protective cover does not come into contact with the fresh joints; air circulation over joints is required during curing time. Cure times are dependant on temperature and humidity but as a guide can accept foot traffic after 12 hours and vehicle traffic after 24 hours. Neutral/Buff Mid-Grey Black

technical information

Domestic Patios and Footpaths 1. Excavate the ground to the correct depth, allowing for falls, minimum 100mm Type 1 sub base, allowing 30mm zone 2 grit sand and 30mm for the thickness of the paving. 2. Compact the sub base fully with a vibrating plate, making sure that there are no voids left in the surface. 3. After compaction, screed out the grit sand to a consistent depth of 25-30mm. 4. Before laying commences, ensure all edge restraints are installed and haunched with concrete. 5. Commence laying of paving mats in your preferred pattern, whilst maintaining a consistent joint width throughout. 6. Complete laying of paving and any cutting required. 7. Using a vibrating plate with a rubber mat, compact the paving into the bedding layer to achieve finished levels. 8. Fill in the paving joints with Nexus V75-WT, as described on the joint filling data sheet. Domestic Driveways vehicles up to 3.5 Tonnes Preparation, installation and joint filling as above, except Type 1 sub base must have a minimum thickness of 150mm and be compacted in layers to give the maximum level of compaction. Commercial Car Parks or Driveways Receiving Heavy Traffic Preparation and joint filling as above, except Type 1 sub base must have a minimum thickness of 250mm. The paving bedding layer should be made up of a semidry, but workable, zone 1 sand and O.P.C. screed 3.1 ratio and, after compaction, laid to a thickness of 15-25mm. Before the paving is laid, a cement-based slurry should be applied to the back of the paving. Using a vibrating plate with a rubber mat, compact the paving into the bedding layer to achieve finished levels. Fill in the paving joints with Nexus V-400 as described on the joint filling data sheet.
