1 Frm B Versin 3 GUIDELINES CHECKLIST FOR BUILDING APPROVAL Nte: This checklist serves as a guide as t the infrmatin that the aesthetics cmmittee requires and will assist the applicant and the aesthetics cmmittee in the speedy apprval f plans. Please ensure that all infrmatin listed belw is prvided with phase 1 and 2 submissins. D nt submit Frm B as part f Cncept r Wrking Drawings submissins. The Hme Owner/Lessee shall be bliged t familiarise himself with the materials and finishes permitted in the Estate. Shuld any deviatin be required t the standard apprved material, then such deviatin must be specifically applied fr and may nly be implemented if specific apprval by the Aesthetics Cmmittee has been granted. 2. The Hme Owner/Lessee shall be bliged t cmply with the architectural guidelines and cnduct rules applicable t the Estate. Any deviatin frm the said guidelines regarding materials will have t be disclsed and frm part f a separate applicatin t be submitted fr apprval. 3. The apprval granted by the Aesthetic Cmmittee shall in n way cnstitute an amendment t r variatin f the said architectural guidelines and cnduct rules as cntemplated in 2 abve. 4. Ntwithstanding any apprval thus granted, any cntraventin f the said architectural guidelines and cnduct rules will nt be permitted and will have t be remedied (which may include the remval theref) n demand at the cst f the Hme Owner/Lessee withut any right f recurse against the Aesthetics Cmmittee. 5. All amendments and/r deviatins t the apprved building plans shall invalidate the apprval f the Aesthetic Cmmittee and will subsequently be subject t same being resubmitted fr apprval and such submissin shall be regarded as a new submissin and be subject t a resubmissin fee. The Hme Owner/Lessee shall be prhibited frm cmmencing with cnstructin prir t the apprval f the said amended building plans. 6. A nte n apprved drawings referring t materials, ther than the standard materials apprved in the guidelines, will nt cnstitute apprval f the said variatins unless specifically referred t in the apprval letter. 1. Energy use Draughts and air leaks have been adequately sealed. Heating and cling systems are energy efficient and apprpriately sized. The amunt f lighting has been minimized and is energy efficient. Appliances (White gds, TV s, DVD s, cmputers, etc) are energy efficient. Slar ht water has been included. The ht water system has been sized apprpriately fr the number f ccupatins and is a split system. Renewable energy surces (such as PV) have been included. 13. Water use Taps, ht water system and ther appliances are water efficient. Ht water pips are insulated and lengths f pipes kept t a minimum. Outdr areas with water retaining finishes and vegetatin are being apprpriately cnsidered t ensure n detrimental impacts frm cnstructin i.e. Cmpacted grass areas.
