2 Proud to be Green 100% of our Polyester Fiber Comes From Post Consumer and Industrial Recycled Waste All of the synthetic (polyester) fiber used in floor pads produced by Americo comes from recycled materials. Primary sources of these materials are recycled soda and water bottles. Environmentally Friendly Products Our products are developed with sustainability in mind, using recycled materials and with some pads designed to eliminate the use of harsh chemicals when cleaning or stripping floors. Water Based Latex Resins No phenol-formaldehyde resins are used in our binding process. We only use water-based latex resins. Recycled Packaging All of our shipping cartons contain at least 45% recycled materials. New State-of-the-Art Equipment We ve installed new multi-million dollar state-of-the-art equipment, increasing our energy efficiency by more than 30%. Waste Water Reduction Our in-house water treatment facility has reduced our waste water flow by 83%. We use 100% RECYCLED FIBER We are proud to contribute to our customers sustainable position by supplying environmentally friendly products. Specially formulated to biodegrade in a fraction of the time that it takes conventional floor pads. Leaves no toxins or toxic remnants in the environment. Methane, a by-product that occurs during the biodegradation process, can be captured and convert into energy where facilities exist. The ASTM D5511 test is a method that evaluates the biodegradability of plastic in anaerobic or oxygen-less conditions. These laboratory tests often show faster results than actual landfill conditions. The actual rate of biodegradation of Americo s Full Cycle pads, as well as the rate of all plastic materials in landfills, will be slower and will vary, dependent upon actual landfill conditions. The Hybrid method is a combination of both light grinding and the Twister maintenance method that will refurbish a worn stone floor with major scratches or orange peel. Start with the Hybrid Black disc and immediately follow up with the Hybrid Red disc for light grinding of the stone surface. Finish by using the standard Twister process to bring up the shine. The DCS Hybrid tools consist of three different items; the pad holder, the DCS pad and DCS segments. The pads are sold in pairs and the holders individually.
