1 CITY OF ALBANY Public Works Department ADDENDUM #1 ST , MAIN STREET REHABILITATION In order to clarify the intent of the Specifications and Drawings, the following provisions are provided and shall be considered part of the contract documents. In order to ensure that all bidders are aware of these provisions, each bidder shall sign this addendum below and attach it to the proposal. IMPORTANT: Failure to include a signed Addendum could result in the disqualification of your bid. GENERAL CLARIFICATION Schedule A and B are in place for accounting purposes only. The two schedules are considered one project and will be built together. Bid Item No. 7 shall include all base rock including the rock under the curbs, sidewalks, and roadways. Bid Item No. 33. The approximate lengths and diameters of the different pipes are as follows: Schedule A- 225 feet of 6-inch 450 feet of 8-inch 300 Feet of 15-inch Schedule B- 35 feet of 6-inch 50 feet of 12-inch SCHEDULE OF CONTRACT PRICES Replace the Schedule of Contract Prices with the new attached Schedule of Contract Prices. The new schedule corrects bid quantities and adds a new bid item for topsoil in order to avoid confusion during construction. A summary of the changes is as follows: Bid Item No changed to topsoil and quantities were added in Schedule A and B Bid Item No the item was added with a quantity in Schedule B Bid Item No. 50 item removed in Schedule B Bid Item No the quantity was reduced in Schedule A BID ITEM CHANGES The following bid item descriptions shall replace the bid item descriptions within the contract documents: Addendum #1.ST

2 Item No. 46 Topsoil: See the Construction Drawings and Standard Construction Specifications, Section 204 and the Special Provisions. This bid item includes provisions and placement of all topsoil shown on the Construction Drawings and in areas of transition where excavation has occurred but no improvements are being built. Topsoil shall be four parts topsoil to one part decomposed organic matter (compost). Payment for this bid item will be on a neat line cubic-yard basis and will include all equipment, labor, Item No. 67 Construct Private Parking Lot at 102 Main Street: See Special Provisions and Construction Drawings. This work shall include all work required to construct the private parking lot including excavation, base rock, pavement, striping, signs, curb, and storm drain work as shown on Sheet 33 of the Construction Drawings. All work shown behind the back of the new sidewalk is incidental to this bid item. The pipe work to the point of connection to a public structure is incidental. Payment for this bid item will be made on a lump-sum basis and will include all equipment, labor, Item No. 68 Construct Private Parking Lot at 230 Main Street: See Special Provisions and Construction Drawings. This work shall include all work required to construct the private parking lot including excavation, base rock, pavement, striping, signs, curb, conduit, and storm drain work as shown on Sheet 34 of the Construction Drawings. Curb along the east side adjacent to the stormwater planter will be paid for under the Storm Water Quality Planter bid item. All work shown behind the back of the planters is incidental. The pipe work to the point of connection to a public structure is incidental. Existing pavement in the 7- Eleven property is going to remain in place unless damaged during construction. It shall be incidental to remove and replace a 2-foot-wide section of existing pavement at all tie in locations with existing asphalt and along the new curb that closes the existing driveway. Payment for this bid item will be made on a lump-sum basis and will include all equipment, labor, Item No. 69 Construct Private Parking Lot at 217 Main Street and 1139 Salem Avenue: See Special Provisions and Construction Drawings. This work shall include all work required to construct the private parking lot including excavation, base rock, pavement, striping, signs, curb, and storm drain work as shown on Sheet 35 of the Construction Drawings. All work shown behind the back of the new sidewalk is incidental. The pipe work to the point of connection to a public structure is incidental. Ribbon drain will be paid for under a separate bid item. All of the asphalt at 217 Main Street shall be removed and replaced as shown on the Construction Drawings. Payment for this bid item will be made on a lump-sum basis and will include all equipment, labor, Item No. 70 Construct Private Parking Lot at 317 Main Street: See Special Provisions and Construction Drawings. This work shall include all work required to construct the private parking lot including excavation, base rock, pavement, striping, signs, curb, and storm drain work as shown on Sheet 36 of the Construction Drawings. Curb along the north side adjacent to the stormwater planter will be paid for under the Storm Water Quality Planter bid item. All work shown behind the back of the planters and back of new sidewalk is incidental. The pipe work to the point of connection to a public structure is incidental.
