2 Jan. 14 Three work crews make use of a sunny Saturday to catch up after rainy-day delays: Ottilia copper crew, Chapel flat roof crew, plumbers dig trenches for rerouted sewer pipes

3 Jan. 16 Second of two former porch doorways being prepared for a window frame (old 2 nd Ottilia Hall Community Room)

4 Jan. 16 Masonry work at new Ottilia Hall elevator resumes

5 Jan. 16 Plumbers continue to dig and reroute sewer line away from new construction footings; about a 7 ft deep trench up near the passageway show the complicated web of piping that complicates and slows down the progress

6 Jan. 16 Foundation crew pumps out rainwater and sets rebar for the kitchen service elevator foundation

7 Jan. 16 Painting crew returns to scrape, caulk and paint the remaining windows on the northeast side of Ottilia Hall

8 Jan. 16 Electrical crew stabilizes temporary poles while new sewer pipes are set in place

20 Jan. 24 Electrical rewiring for Retreat Center s Large Dining Room HVAC systems (according to safety codes this time) Replaces wires strung form Joseph Hall to Ottilia and back again without a breaker from the main pole in the backyard; needed for access to Ottilia windows above this area

21 Jan. 24 Showers arrive and are unload in the front of Ottilia Hall

22 Jan. 24 A final coat of paint on the basement windows

24 Jan. 27 New electrical, venting, and sprinkler systems on 1 st Ottilia

25 Jan. 27 Final touches to Annunciata elevator roof before after

43 Jan. 31 With electrical lines gone, painters finish scraping, caulking and painting east windows of Ottilia s 2 nd and 3 rd floors

45 Jan. 31 Golden contractors readying for the next phase on new addition s foundation, the placement of steel beams along outer and inner walls

46 Jan. 31 Welding crew attaches shorter beams together so that they may be cut to proper lengths

47 Jan. 31 Northwest end of new kitchen foundation being prepared for an afternoon cement delivery Foundation trench being dug for north porch and Retreat Center dining entrance

55 Feb. 2 After another rainy day, measuring for placement of steel beams and drilling of holes in progress

59 Feb. 2 Masonry crew sloshes in the mud to complete the next layer of brickwork

60 Feb. 2 Work completed on the north wall on previous Monday
