Please clarify. DELETE Note 4 at two stairs at Little Theater. 3. A1.1 the new storage wall at A122 in little theater wall type is not called out. Please confirm construction of walls that tie into existing and the top of wall elevation of new walls? Refer to General Note 15 on Drawing A A1.1 left and right of stage A121 in little theater appears new walls are to be framed at former stair locations. Correct. Or was this intended to be a header? No. Looking at elevation 1/A5.2, contractor could not find additional information clarifying this condition. Please confirm construction and provide additional clarification. Refer to details 2 and 3/A5.2 which indicates existing openings to be infilled and finished to match adjacent existing. L&D #24037 ADDENDUM #3 Page-1

3 EAST HIGH SCHOOL 5. Refer to note 10 on drawing A5.1. Can the existing trim, wainscot, and base be reused in lieu of new if it can be salvaged during removal? Provide new as indicated. 6. The substantial completion date is October 15th, I assume we will have reasonably uninterrupted access to the construction area when school resumes in the Fall. For example, there will not be classes or assemblies held in the auditorium. All classes, assemblies, etc. have been rescheduled and/or relocated to accommodate the proposed construction. 7. Detail 6/A4.1 shows no base at the rubbed concrete wall or where the new ramp slab abuts the existing east wall, but elevation 2/A5.1 appears to have a base at the rubbed wall and is unclear at the ramp slab. Please clarify the intent regarding floor base in this area of the new ramp. Provide new wood base at the base of the concrete wall and at the east wall. 8. Are the stairs leading up to A116 passage to be similar construction to section 3/A1.1? Provide cast in place formed concrete stairs and wall similar to 6/A For rooms A207 and A209, is note 15 to be removed from the RFS due to the schedule changes in addendum #1? Please clarify the intent for the existing wood base & trim at the balcony level rooms. Note #15 should remain and apply to Rooms A207, and A209. The existing base (as clarified in Addendum 1) will need to be removed to install new flooring, but is to be re used; cleaned, repaired and prepped to receive new finish: ST2 (as stated in Note 15). 10. During a site visit, I noticed fire extinguisher cabinets at each of the stair locations flanking the little theater stage. Are these to be relocated under this contract? Refer to 1/A5.1. Existing Fire Extinguisher Cabinets are to be relocated and the walls patched to match adjacent existing wall surfaces. 11. Is it the intent to completely remove the existing floor slab in the area of the new wheel chair landing in the auditorium? The sections on drawing A4.1 appear to show some of the existing concrete floor to remain. Can the new concrete landing be installed directly over the existing auditorium slab? If so, is doweling required or some other surface prep to the existing concrete floor? It is the intent to completely remove the existing floor slab. 12. Will full time supervision dedicated to east auditorium only be required? Or will part time supervision between multiple projects be acceptable? Full time supervision is required. 13. D1.1 under the demolition legend 4th hatching indicates "area of existing slab to be sawcut and removed to accommodate new level concrete landing installation." Looking at A1.1 landing area references 1 4A4.1 for cross section view. Section views 1 4A4.1 it could be interpreted that new concrete landing is poured over the existing concrete slab. In addition, addendum #1 revised note #4 A1.1 to read "new concrete landing at wall to slab intersection, inspect slab dowels. Remove existing dowels if deteriorated beyond 20% or if loose. If needed, replace with #4 12" (1' 6" x 1' 6" on center. Drill into existing concrete wall and epoxy into place. At slab areas that span tunnel, add 12" each way, min 1 ½" clear from bottom of slab." Based on demo legend and revised note #4 in addendum #1, contractor assumes intention is to remove entire section of existing floor for new level concrete landing and not pour over existing floor slab, please confirm. It is the intent to completely remove the existing floor slab. 14. Any information on locations, sizes of the existing tunnels under auditorium floor would be helpful. Can any additional information be provided? Refer to ATTACHED (8 ½ x 11 ) sheet AD 03/A In Addendum 1, page 3, it states to delete any reference to AWP 2 on the drawings, not using. Does that mean we are completely eliminating those acoustic wall panels or that they are becoming AWP 1. It s not clear. My interpretation is that we are not installing any acoustic wall panels in those areas. Please confirm. See below changes to Drawing A2.1. L&D #24037 ADDENDUM #3 Page-2
