It is further agreed that the work to be done and materials to be furnished to complete the work fully as planned and contemplated are to be performed at the prices set forth below except as provided for in the Specifications. It is further agreed that lump sum prices may be increased to cover additional work ordered by the Owner; but not shown on the plans or required by the Specifications, in accordance with the provisions of the General Conditions. Similarly, they may be decreased to cover deletion of work so ordered. It is understood and agreed that the work is to be completed within the time herein stated. The undersigned bidder agrees to commence work within seven (7) calendar days after written Notice to Proceed has been given. ACKNOWLEDGMENT OF PAYMENT ITEMS The undersigned acknowledges that the following bid items are the only items of payment under this contract and his bid price under these items reflects the complete charges for furnishing all labor, material, and equipment to complete the project as outlined in the Plans, Specifications, and the Contract Documents. KNOWLEDGE OF LOCAL CONDITIONS AND CONTRACT DOCUMENTS The undersigned warrants that he has examined the location of the proposed work, the Plan Drawings, Specifications, and all other parts of the Contract Documents, and is familiar with the local conditions at the place where the work is to be performed. 32 SPECIFICATIONS IN ORDER TO SUBMIT COMPLETE BID, PRE-CONSTRUCTION and GENERAL CONDITIONS 1. The Owner is the City of Granite Shoals. All Draw Schedules shall be addressed to Mr. Ken Nickel, City Manager, City of Granite Shoals. 2. The Owner may elect to pay for a Builder's Risk policy for the amount of the Contract Award. 3. The Project Budget is set at $150,000 and does include in- kind donations or labor from the Owner or others. 4. Questions or ideas for trail modification shall be presented to the A/CiR for decision. S. The A/CIR is the final decision maker in all aspects of construction as related to the design. 6. The following standard specifications for Texas Parks and Recreation Department projects shall apply: 7. Project shall be inspected prior to construction start to assure that work to be performed by others is complete. Authorization from the Owner will be given to begin work on the Project after the Owner is satisfied the work by others is complete. CONCRETE 1. Remove all raised concrete curbs, together with any protruding steel anchors or bolts without damaging the adjacent surrounding concrete slab. Jack hammer should be used that breaks up the concrete in small enough chunks to easily remove from building and dispose of. 2. Fill all voids, holes, drainage ditches with 3000 PSI concrete and finish flush with existing floor elevation 3. Form and place (2) regulation tennis court slabs from 3000 PSI concrete, 4" minimum thick, level and true with #4 bars at 16" o.c. both ways and (2) perimeter #4 bars held with and tied to #4 verticals, 8" long drilled into existing concrete at 24" on center. 4. NOTE! As an Add Alternate: provide bid for post tensioning in slabs. {See this Sec 21. Pg m s. NOTE! As an Add Alternate: place minimum 4" slab over entire surface of existing slab ISee this Sec 21, Pg Edge trowel with %" edging tool. 7. Finish slab smooth. 8. Form and place ADA ramp as per plans. 9. The following specifications are from the Sport Master Sport Surfaces and the USTA. Items marked out do not apply. REGULATION COURT FINISH 1. The court topping and finish shall be performed by an experienced tennis court surface applicator. An approved list is provided at the end of these specifications. 2. The applicator shall be the Contractor or a Subcontractor to the Contractor and shall provide a five year guarantee for the surface. 3. The outer topping co lor shall continue down the edge of the concrete slab and terminate at the existing slab. 3
