3 Our scope of works embrace every aspect of the construction cycle from the initial site survey to liaising with the Project Engineer on land maximisation; re-profiling the earthworks to required design levels; drainage and roads; foundations and buildings; ground floor slab, surfacing and finally, any finishing touches required around the project. CHARLES LAWRENCE SPORTS SURFACES WOODHOLME CONSTRUCTION Charles Lawrence Surfaces have been at the forefront of the artificial sports surfacing industry since 1975, making it one of the most respected and long established names within the sector. Its aim is simple - to provide quality installations at competitive prices, delivered via a professional and approachable team. Synthetic turf can handle the most vigorous usage in all-weather conditions and our choice of synthetic turf systems offers performance, value, low maintenance requirement and durability. The company currently provides surfaces for a number of sports including Football, Tennis, Rugby, Athletics, Netball and Hockey as well as providing expertise on indoor multi-use sports halls. Malcolm Construction acquired Woodholme Construction in 2007, which has further strengthened their presence within the Sports Surfaces Industry. From Woodholme Construction s origins, as pioneers of laser-controlled macadam paving, its scope of responsibilities within the Synthetic Sports Industry has grown enormously. It regularly undertakes complete groundwork, sub-structure, drainage and external works packages for multi-million pound projects such as schools and academies. 6 WASTE MANAGEMENT As market leaders in waste management, Malcolm Construction re-uses and recycles construction and demolition waste in a safe and cost effective manner, with the minimum of environmental impact. Our strategically located and fully licensed sites ensure that waste is handled in accordance with current legislation, which typically accounts for around 1 million tonnes of waste per year ranging from construction to hazardous and contaminated waste materials. LANDFILL Malcolm Construction is one of the leading operators of landfill services in Scotland and last year handled over 1 million tonnes of waste at our 5 operational landfill sites. These sites have a consented and operational void of 1 million cubic metres and a further 3 million cubic metres yet to be realised. We also aim to lead the Construction Industry in the supply of quality recycled aggregates, an objective which has required us to build greater flexibilities into our processes to meet the reaction time expectations of our customers alongside the ever-changing market conditions. In this way we ensure our products are fit for purpose, our services are competitive and our customers are confident in our delivery. 7 QUARRYING AND AGGREGATE SUPPLY Malcolm Construction s quarry at Loanhead, Beith, has benefitted from considerable investment in crushing and screening equipment and today produces a full range of bulk fill to single size materials. In addition to our natural stone offering, we operate recycling depots in both Glasgow and Ayrshire to service the West of Scotland with a full range of recycled aggregates. Our aggregate wash plant at Shewalton in Ayrshire also allows us to produce a full range of recycled sands and gravels. RECYCLING Our construction and demolition waste treatment, transfer and recycling business, is a significant attribute within our service. This comprises 3 facilities specifically geared towards the sorting of recyclable materials to provide high quality recycled aggregates, topsoil and subsoil. In line with our policy of reducing environmental impact wherever possible, we are actively increasing recycling rates with a view to minimising waste sent to landfill sites

8 TIPPER AND SKIP HIRE We offer an unrivalled haulage and waste collection service to both our direct and indirect customer bases. Our modern, tipper and skip fleet is one of the largest in Scotland, with a range consisting of 6 and 8 wheel rigid tippers, articulated tipping and walking floor trailers (specialist equipment for the movement of bulk waste such as paper and wood) and skips ranging from 8 to 40 cubic yards.
