2 Heavy 980HE The 980HE CNC tube bender offers multiple, fully automatic bending cycles with high accuracy and productivity, due in large part to its strength, which is substantially higher than existing bending machines of comparable size. The Heavy 980HE is ideal for applications that require the simultaneous use of several tooling sets, as it can produce complex shapes even with thin wall tubes. The bending head design assures high strength to accommodate heavy workloads, and the long vertical axis increases the number of available working planes, while supporting ergonomic load/unload operations. The relatively small size of the bending head allows for the creation of close shapes in a single cycle, even for tubes that normally require two-way bending. In addition, an optional Tangent Boost device is available to axially push tubes during the bending process in the pressure die slide/wiper die zone to minimize scrap by reducing required cut lengths. This feature also lends itself well to integrated tube cutting as an ejector. All nine axes are driven by electric motors with digital Full Electric technology and controlled by the Siemens 840 Dsl CNC; there are no hydraulics. This provides high quality energy conservation and low to zero setup scrap. An intuitive interface on the 19 color LCD screen, three-dimensional graphics software, and User ISO Interface (UII) allows simulation and optimization of the bending cycle.
