3 PART 1: INTRODUCTION TO THE COMPANY ESM - Consulting Engineers Co Ltd is one of Engineering Consulting Firms in the mainland Tanzania. The company was established in the year Ever since, the company has been carrying out civil and structural engineering design works, quality control, construction site supervision works and project management of structures, highway networks, hydraulics and water treatment plant projects. PART 2: COMPANY VISION STATEMENT Our Vision is to deliver the best and most cost effective engineering designs, construction supervision and project management services in the region that lead to the most economic and sustainable development of infrastructures. PART 3: COMPANY POLICIES HEALTH AND SAFETY ESM - Consulting Engineers has invested in Health and Safety Procedures in all the day to day Company Operations from design stages to construction site supervision stages. There has been established a risky assessment procedure that has to be performed prior to the commencement of any engineering project. The company has selected a committee of three people who ensure the compliance of the Local Occupational Health and Safety Act which was established in the year From the act, the company has been able to comply with all issues of Health and Safety at the work place from the design to construction site supervision. ENVIRONMENT ESM - Consulting Engineers Co Ltd believes in keeping the nature to it s safest condition as it should be. All operations in the organization are being monitored by the Health and Safety Committee to make sure that they do not have a negative impact to the surrounding environment and habitats in general. The company has invested in utilization of International Legislation Procedures, manuals and codes of conducts as provided below: - BS 5750; ISO Standard for quality management systems - BS 7750; ISO Standard for environmental management system (EMS) CAPACITY BUILDING AND TRAINING SCHEME ESM - Consulting Engineers Co Ltd believes in providing training to students entitled for Industrial training from the Universities and equivalent colleges in the country who are in the design level of experience from their respective colleges. Students are provided with enough facilities to assist them on the course of training such as computers and training manuals.
