CD RFI Response: September 22, 2017 by Orchestrate + Daedalus comments noted red submitted Other Questions/Comments/Notes/Information for team review: CT-4 was listed as TBD. CT-4 Source: Floor + Décor Product: Villa Alabaster Picket Ceramic Mosaic Size: 12 x 12 Mosaic SKU: # Location: Break Area Counter Backsplash (#103) Wood planking for walls and collaborative lounge We need to talk with Tim regarding the specification for this material. In the initial pricing he allocated 4.00 SF. We understand that they have sourcing options regarding this material, however we all need to get on the same page regarding this specification as we need to build our color story around this material. Roserock How should we proceed to get this accomplished? Would you like for us to provide 2-3 species/ products to illustratate the look and feel that we are envisioning? Does Tim have any manufacturer lines that he would like us to look at? We are open to whatever is best. Please see our responses below in RED. Ernie will send the MEP answers upon receipt of that information Monday. 1. The Vault has a Detector Check In Vault, The City of Tyler requires a Backflow Preventer. Do we need to add changing out this assembly in our price, also this will effect pipe sizes in the existing building because of the loss in a back flow? 2. Pg A1.0 Demo Plan: Confirm if the sheetrock on the exterior walls will be removed along with the wall covering. Remove wallcovering only 3. Pg A1.3 Construction Plan: Do we need to figure on finishing any part of the new wood gate doors? No finish on gate. ALT: paint dark brown to match bronze storefront Pine Cove P1

4. Pg A1.3 Construction Plan: Confirm location of acrylic panels in lieu of sheetrock Refer to A1.1 Keynote 6 5. Pg A1.4 Door Schedule and Details: Will the barn doors be one solid color or will the trim be a different color? Barn doors will be one solid color Note: Pine Cove should have the capability to build these, please confirm with Owner/Roserock 6. Pg A4.0 Reflected Ceiling Plan: Ceiling type E notes that the sheetrock is not required to be finished behind the wood, does this just mean no paint or no tape, bed, texture and paint? Install Gyp board only, no paint/mud/etc. 7. Pg A4.0 Reflected Ceiling Plan: Ceiling type G, open slat wood grill, is the wood factory finished and confirm if the structure behind is to paint? Paint all exposed areas above grill and throughout facility white. (SW Snowbound #7004 to be confirmed with designer prior to painting.) 8. Pg IF.00 Finish Plan Notes: Approximately how many of the 10 paint colors will be dark colors (note says to put a minimum 3 finish coats on dark colors)? No more than 3 colors. Typically we have found that dark colors require 2-3 coats, we just want to ensure a uniform even color where dark pigmented paints are applied. 9. Pg IF.01 Wall Finish Plan: Please note the location of each paint, wall covering and wood wall/ceiling finish that will be used. Exact colors are not needed at this time. IF-01 shows paint locations and more detail referenced on IE pages. Final paint colors TBD during this time drawings are in permit. Revised paint plan and elevations to be submitted prior to construction. Dark colored paints are accents only and will be located within the office accent wall pattern, on the shroud surrounding the main conference room entry glazing, ceiling plane and shroud around front reception, and back hallway around the niches. Areas to be finalized for reception of dark colored pigments include the main conference room and administration north and west plan walls. 10. Pg IF.01 Wall Finish Plan: Room 104, Work Café, plan north wall shows SWP2 note for wall finish, but there is no SWP2 on the finish schedule. Error Tag should read SWP-1 (Shiplap) 11. Pg IF.02 Floor Finish Plan: Will the wood floors be prefinished? Yes, product is not natural wood, it is a LVT strip product Pine Cove P2

12. Pg IN.01 Furniture Plan and Elevation Key: Please confirm the number of offices to receive the paint patterns noted on pg IE.04, elevations 1-5; there are only 2 office with elevation callouts. IN.01 key note 2 is tagged SIM. (Similar) in all offices. We will provide final paint drawings prior to construction. 13. Pg M1.0 Mechanical Floor Plan: Confirm that ALL parts of the exposed duct work, including exposed fasteners, will have a paintable surface. Yes 14. Pg P1.0 Plumbing Demo: Shows the existing gas meter but no notes about painting any gas lines, please confirm if we are to paint any gas lines. 15. The partition types list heights for B, B1, and B2 walls. Can you clarify if at locations with exposed ceilings these partitions need to extend to the deck or remain as partial height walls with in wall support? Remain partial height walls with in-wall support at exposed ceiling areas 16. On sheet E1.0 there are light fixtures at various places in the building which are shown to be for emergency operation. These are denoted by having hash marks over the fixture symbol. The fixtures are of various types, some recessed can lights, some track lighting, etc. In the base bid, all of these fixtures would be powered by one battery/inverter unit in the event of a power outage, (see plan key note 4 ). As an alternate, in lieu of the inverter being supplied, there is direction to supply a wall surface mounted emergency battery light unit, a Mule brand CVT-LED. This is described at the bottom left of the sheet. This specified unit is similar in function to a double head, wall, surface emergency egress light. The CVT- LED is recessed mounted with automatic doors which open on power failure and expose the light heads. My question - is the intent of this alternate description to have one of these CVT units installed near the location of each one of the hashed emergency fixtures, (approx. 24), that is a one per one? Or does the architect wish to direct a specific number of them located in specified locations. 17. On sheet E2.0 there are shown in various places to be power and data floor outlets and furniture feeds. The plan notes indicate using existing in slab raceways for these. Due to location and specified product compatibility it will be necessary to trench the existing slab for the majority of the new locations. Will you provide trenching, rubble removal and patching for this? Trenching, rubble removal and patching will be required where this occurs. 18. Define sheetrock condition at exterior walls, including painting of upper wall treatment. If existing condition is such that gypsum board does not extend to deck, new gypsum board will need to be added and painted Pine Cove P3

19. Confirm $6.00/sf allowance for wall covering. Correct this was an error. We are currently finalizing the specifications of all of wall coverings which are European dbl rolls ( x 32 each at approx. 56sf of coverage) Please use $3.80 square foot for material cost estimating. Please note that in reality the roll costs vary from $2.20 to $3.80 per square foot or $95 - $253 per dbl roll. We will submit final wall covering specifications prior to construction. 20. Confirm finish on wood base. Painted wood base 21. Provide PDFs of existing plans including HVAC shop drawings, if available. These will be provided in the addendum. (Roserock has submitted) 22. Define ht. of sprinkler heads relative to bottom of joists. VIF existing lines in field. (Design goal is to keep these as high as possible) 23. Does everything paint the same color in the ceiling? yes, painted white throughout 24. Sheet A1.4 Hardware notes electric strikes and mag locks. Please identify locations required. Should these be at the exterior doors shown with card readers per E2.0? Refer to sheet A3.0 for locations. Yes 25. A1.4 Please confirm barn door is by owner but the barn door hardware is provided by hardware supplier Yes, Roserock please confirm that Owner is good with taking on this. 26. E2.0 and A1.4 shows card readers and mag locks. These will require some sort of power and there is no power shown. Provide power as necessary 27. Sheet p1.0 Key note 1 existing plumbing fixture to remain. However, the finish plan IF.01 indicates new tile on the wet walls. Please confirm we are to remove the existing fixtures and reinstall after the new tile is installed. Yes 28. Sheet A1.3 Fixture Schedule. Will the appliances be provided by the Contractor? I.E. Type F- Dishwasher, G - Refrigerator, I - Microwave, J - Ice Maker, K Undercounter Beverage Cooler Roserock Please confirm with owner Pine Cove P4

29. The wall finish schedule calls for a ct-3, Daltile, Terrace, color: Torchwood 6 x36 for the wet walls in restrooms. Terrace does not have a color of Torchwood Error. CT-3 is Daltile, Terrace, Color: Ironwood, Size 6 x Pine Cove P5
