2 FCDES ND GLSS ROOF The Concept system designer for over 30 years, Installux offers a comprehensive range for the fabrication of curtain wall façades. Univers, Univers VEP and Univers L are suitable for all types of architectural projects, from the most classic to the most avant-garde, and offer the possibility to design either cross-grid or horizontal-grid façade patterns. The system leaves the choice between screw and junction-block transom fixing, frontal and progressive installation, traditional and cascading drainage. In order to respect the current (RT 2005, NR) and future (RT 2010) European regulations concerning thermal and acoustic performances, the profiles have been designed for infillings up to 49 mm. s a matter of fact, integration of Espace 50TH windows, Comète 50TH doors, VEC structural glazing italian windows, VEC structural glazing fire brigade access, is possible. Our concern for thermal and phonic insulation, safety and beauty has been the basic specification for the development and for the evolution of our products. Moreover we have been very careful of product efficiency. Reduction of fabrication time has been achieved by maximum automatic punching tool machining, which facilitates fabrication and guarantees top quality of the finished product. We also have reduced machining and punching tools to a minimum, in order to simplify fabrication. 4 Façade UNIVERS mm STRUCTURE WINDOW The Cross-Grid Concept This cross-grid façade system is composed of a wide choice of mullions and transoms adapted to that pattern. The system leaves the choice between transom fixing with screws and with junction-blocks without mullion machining, with the possibility of frontal or progressive installation. Drainage is achieved through pressure plates and cover caps in case of junction-block assembly, or cascading through the mullions in case of screw assembly. Glazing thickness up to 49 mm. Integration of Espace 50TH windows, Comète 50TH doors, VEC structural glazing italian windows, VEC structural glazing fire brigade access, is possible. In order to comply with the European RT 2010 standard, an extruded polyethylene foam insulator achieves a minimum Uf coefficient of 0.9 W/K.m 2. The system allows the realisation of façades of various aesthetic options and module dimensions to correspond to the technical and geographical constraints of any project. The technical conception favours reduction of fabrication and installation time, while guaranteeing top quality of the finished product. 8 Glass roof UNIVERS mm STRUCTURE The Glass Roof Concept The construction of glass roofs is possible thanks to the use of a specific transom capping pressure plate accepting glazing up to 48 mm (façade infilling up to 45 mm). Rafters and transoms are assembled with screws, which guarantees perfect cascading drainage. The system allows the realisation of glass roofs of various aesthetic options and module dimensions to correspond to the technical and geographical constraints of any project. The technical conception favours reduction of fabrication and installation time, while guaranteeing top quality of the finished product. 10 Façade UNIVERS VEP STRUCTURE The Concept Curtain wall or semi-curtain wall system with fixed frames and italian windows of equal visible surface separated by 10-mm joint gaps. It is composed of a wide choice of mullions and transoms fixed by screws or junction-blocks, with the possibility of frontal or progressive installation. series of traditional frame profiles for 6 to 10- mm single glass, 9 to 15-mm laminated glass, or 19 to 26-mm double glazing, is completed by a thermal-break frame profile for 24 to 31-mm glazing. The glazing units are fixed by glazing beads to the workshop assembled frames. Fitting into structure by drop-and-lock, screw avoiding device for fixed frames, by projecting arms for italian windows. The technical conception favours reduction of fabrication and installation time, while guaranteeing top quality of the finished product. 12 Façade UNIVERS VEC L STRUCTURE The Concept Structural sealant glazing curtain wall or semicurtain wall system with fixed frames and italian windows of equal visible surface separated by 14- mm joint gaps. It is composed of a wide choice of mullions and transoms fixed by screws or junction-blocks. The thermal-break frame profile allows glazing from 20 up to 24 mm. The availability of measure-made vulcanized gasket frames saves manufacturing time (no angle sealing) and achieves excellent thermal insulation (Uf = 1.85 W/Km 2 ) complying with the European RT 2010 standard. The bonding of the glazing units to the workshop assembled frames must be realized by a company holding the PSSVEC licence. ll the frames are fitted out with a safety device preventing glass fall in the event of sealant failure.
