9 09 Elevator Traction Machines and Controllers Our AT Series traction machines, both geared and gearless are designed to provide ultimate in safe, reliable and smooth travel spanning to speeds ranging from 0.3 MPS to 2.5 MPS and can handle passenger capacities ranging from 4 to 26 passenger. AT series also includes geared traction machines suitable for handling freights upto 5MT. The electric motors have been designed and developed to make them compactable to variable voltage, variable frequency (V3F) drives resulting in enormous saving of energy besides providing smooth and comfortable riding.
