Basic Wind Speed MPH (Exposure C)(Ultimate). Seismic Design Cat B. This structure has been designed to support the loads indicated above as a complete unit with all members and connections installed. The contractor is responsible for the means, method, sequence of construction, and bracing to support any loads imposed on the structure prior to completion.. These plans do not show any details for building waterproofing or site drainage. Resource is not responsible for waterproofing (including but not limited to foundation and under slab drainage) or site drainage. B. Foundaiton Design. Foundation design based on Soils and Foundation Investigation Project No. SU , dated 08//0, and its supplements as prepared by: CTL Thompson Inc., Breckenridge, CO. Design Information: a). llowable Bearing Pressure 000 psf b). ctive Pressure 0 pcf c). Passive Pressure 0 pcf d). t Rest Pressure 0 pcf e). Friction Coefficient 0.0 f). Frost Depth 0". Contractor shall follow all recommendations of the Soils Report.. Footings shall bear on natural undisturbed soil or adequately compacted structural fill (as specified by Soils Engineer), below the frost depth required by the applicable building code. Shallow frost protected foundations shall extend minimum " below grade and shall be insulated per the details on these plans horizontally and vertically at slab edge. ny discrepancies with the footing elevations shown on the plans shall be brought to the attention of the engineer. C. Backfilling. Do not backfill against retaining walls until supporting elements, including slabs and floor framing systems, are in place and securely anchored, or adequately shored.. Verify type of fill with Soils Engineer or Structural Engineer prior to backfilling.. Where walls are backfilled on both sides, backfill equally on each side of walls in lifts, or as required by soil report. D. Reinforced Concrete. ll concrete design is based on the Building Code Requirements for Reinforced Concrete (CI 8-08).. ll structural concrete shall have a minimum 8-day compressive strength of,000 psi and shall be sulfate resistant.. Provide continuous shear keys at vertical cold joints and where shown on drawings. (dowels at vertical/ cold or construction joint).. Reinforcement must be continuous through construction joints and have a minimum of () splice length on both sides of joint.. Rebar in slabs shall be supported by chairs at the height shown on the drawings.. Provide control joints in slabs at a maximum of 8' o.c., EW, cut at a depth equal to / of the slab depth, u.n.o. E. Grout & nchor Bolts. ll grout beneath column base plates or steel beams at bearing shall be Dayton Superior "Turbo Grout LT" or approved equal.. ll anchor bolts shall be /"ø with minimum of " embedment spaced at a max of 8 O.C. and within of wall ends and corners (U.N.O.). nchor bolts located in sill plates on exterior walls and in shears walls shall be 0 wet set "J" bolts. Post installed anchor bolts shall be Simpson Titen HD or Powers Wedge bolts U.N.O. mechanical anchors or epoxy anchors, installed in accordance with the manufacturer's requirements, substitutions must be approved by the Structural Engineer. ll anchor bolts thru CQ treated material shall be double-dipped galvanized, stainless steel or other corrosion resistant metal designed for contact with CQ. F. Reinforcing Steel. ll detailing, fabrication, and placement of reinforcing steel shall be in accordance with the CI Manual of Concrete Practice.. Except where otherwise noted on the drawings, reinforcing bars shall conform to STM Specification and shall be minimum Grade 0.. Welded wire fabric shall conform to STM Specification -8.. For splices in concrete see table below. t corners, make horizontal bars continuous or provide corner bars. round openings and steps in walls provide () #'s extending '-0 beyond edge of opening or step. (Unless noted otherwise on the drawings horizontal bars at the top of grade beams shall be spliced only at mid-span between piers, and horizontal bottom bars shall be spliced only at pier centerlines).
