10 Evolution ollection Doors Fitting Instructions IMPORTANT: Please be careful not to scuff profiles during fitting. It is recommended to use a pipe and voltage detector to make sure that there are no wires and/or pipes behind the walls or floors where you are going to bore holes. 1. Place enclosure on flat section of tray or wet floor with the wall compensators placed on each end. 2. Mark on the walls the position of the top and sides of the enclosure. 3. Place the wall compensators in position against the marks on the walls. 4. Using a builders level check that the wall compensators are plumb. 5. Mark through slots, bore the walls and fasten compensators with suitable plugs and screws. Where required, the plastic base of the wall compensator can be trimmed along the guideline to suit coved flooring. 6. Place enclosure back into the wall compensators. Adjust enclosure to compensate for out of true walls. 7. When the enclosure is in line check the bottom seal is in contact with the tray to ensure a watertight seal, adjust if necessary. 8. Bore through the sides of the wall compensators using a 3.5mm diameter drill. Easa UK & Ireland - Tel: +44 (0) Fax: +44 (0) info@easagroup.com Website:

13 Evolution Half Height Enclosure Full Height Pole Fitting Instructions Use a pipe and voltage detector to make sure that there are no wires and/or pipes where you are boring holes in the ceiling. The full height pole can be ceiling height or curtain rail height. 1. Decide whether the pole is to be ceiling height or curtain rail height. Measure from the top of the fi xed panel to the ceiling or to the top of the curtain rail. The ceiling end of the pole may need to be cut depending on the ceiling height or curtain rail height. Using a suitable tool (hacksaw or similar) cut the pole to the taken measurement. For ceiling height poles it may be necessary to cut the pole approximately 10mm less than the taken measurement. 2. For ceiling height poles slide the ceiling mounting bracket onto the pole keeping the fl anged end uppermost until it is level with the top of the pole. For curtain rail height poles slide the top cap into the top end of the pole. 3. heck that the hexagon screws are suffi ciently loose and then insert the pole into the top of the fi xed panel, ensuring it is seated completely and tighten the hexagon screws. For ceiling height poles slide the ceiling mounting bracket to be fl ush with the ceiling. Easa UK & Ireland - Tel: +44 (0) Fax: +44 (0) info@easagroup.com Website:

14 Evolution Half Height Enclosure Full Height Pole Fitting Instructions Use a pipe and voltage detector to make sure that there are no wires and/or pipes where you are boring holes in the ceiling. 4. heck the plumb in both directions with a builders level and for ceiling height poles mark the location of the holes on the ceiling, then bore holes and attach the ceiling mounting bracket to the ceiling using suitable screws and provided screw cap covers. To ensure a proper ceiling mount it may be necessary to add a bridge between the ceiling joists above the plasterboard and screw the ceiling mounting bracket into it. 5. Attach curtain rail mounting bracket to pole at the correct height for the curtain rail and mark the location of the holes, then being careful not to bore all the way through the pole, bore through the side of the pole using a 3.5mm diameter drill-bit and attach it using the screws and screw cap covers provided. 6. The curtain rail can now be fitted, the size and location of the curtain rail should be such that the plumb of the full height pole is maintained. After the curtain rail is fitted, being careful not to bore all the way through the pole, bore a hole using the supplied 3.5mm drill-bit in the upper curtain rail channel through the mounting bracket into the pole and counterbore with a larger drill at the outside to accommodate the screw head. Screw the curtain rail to pole using the supplied screw. Easa UK & Ireland - Tel: +44 (0) Fax: +44 (0) info@easagroup.com Website:

You should keep these instructions for your reference. leaning instructions / maintenance Evolution Range; The Evolution shower doors feature an antibacterial agent in all of the plastic and the textured parts such as the locking handles and hinges. The White Evolution ollection doors have this protection in the white coating as well. The door panels are manufactured from virtually indestructible polycarbonate or toughened glass. It is important to ensure that a simple cleaning regime is followed to maximise the anti-bacterial agent s effect. After showering, ensure the doors are washed using a damp non-abrasive cloth immersed in warm water containing a mild household detergent. Wipe any excess water, but leave the doors to dry naturally. The anti-bacterial agent works well in a humid environment by migrating to the surface to destroy the bacteria. DO NOT USE: Abrasive cleaners Bleach Hair colorants These products may reduce the life span and the effectiveness of the antibacterial agent and can discolour your shower doors. IMPORTANT The anti-bacterial agent does not replace good cleaning practices. WARNING Never use the shower doors to support your weight when transferring in/out of the shower or to steady or guide you in/out of the shower area. are should be taken when in and around the shower area as wet surfaces increase the risk of slipping. It is advisable that grab rails are installed in the showering area to facilitate safer transfers. If a family member, care worker, home help or privately employed cleaner is responsible for the cleaning of your shower please encourage them to read these instructions. If the doors are used in an environment such as a hospital or nursing home where some clients may have MRSA, it may be necessary to seek additional advice from the Infection ontrol Nurse regarding showering management of clients. POLY carbonate Polycarbonate The harpy impact test, also known as the harpy v-notch test, was developed in 1905 by the French scientist Georges harpy. It is a standardised high strain-rate test which determines the amount of energy absorbed by a material during fracture. This absorbed energy is a measure of a given material s toughness and acts as a tool to study temperature-dependent brittle-ductile transition. It is widely applied in industry, since it is easy to prepare and conduct and results can be obtained quickly and more cost-effectively. The values are as follows; MATERIAL HARPY NOTHED ISO 179-1:2010 resistance to impact testing KJ/m 2 POLYARBONATE (used by EASA) >40 PETG 10 PMMA (synthetic polymer of methyl methacrylate) 2 EASA ANTI BATERIAL PROTETION Easa Lifetime Antibacterial System Our lifetime antibacterial protection for ombi trays is based on silver ion technology integrated into the material during manufacture. It cannot be washed away nor reduced by scratches or wearing. It is safe, effective and permanent and is used to protect against bacterial growth, mould and mildew. The material has been tested by an independent microbiological laboratory to the internationally recognised standard JIS Z 2801:2000. The antibacterial effect is rapid and bacterial growth can be inhibited within 2 hours according to laboratory tests. The antibacterial material is not recommended to replace or reduce cleaning procedures but as an additional barrier to bacterial growth. Recyclability REYLABLE PRODUTS All Easa Door collections are fully recyclable. When you buy environmentally friendly products such as our fully recyclable shower trays, you help reduce waste by creating a market for our recycled materials. You also help create jobs in businesses that handle and use recycled materials. Purchasing green products is like making a vote. Requesting more sustainable products in the market place tells manufacturers that consumers care about the way products are made.
