The compact machine impresses with its heavy-duty design for tough day-to-day operation, exceptional maneuverability and great ease of operation. It is the ideal choice for pouring offset profiles and for sidewalk up to 6 (1.8m). The SP 15 owes its broad range of capabilities to the highly flexible arrangement of its mold and track units; the great variety of setup options makes the machine adaptable to most jobsite conditions, resulting in unrivalled operating efficiency.

4 Comfort and ergonomics on the operator s platform Relaxed operator high performance guaranteed The operator s comfort is a key factor impacting the efficient operation of construction machinery especially in the long term. Operator comfort is made possible by the ergonomic design of the spacious, walk-through operator s platform: the anti-vibration mounted walkway minimizes the impact of machine vibrations on the operator, and the soundproofing included in the paver s standard package provides extremely quiet operation. Depending on the requirements of the job at hand, the control panel can be positioned on the left or right, thus offering excellent visibility of the machine, paving process and surroundings on both sides. Altogether, the SP 15 provides all the features required for stress-free, productive work.

6 Reliable concrete delivery is vital for achieving high productivity Flexibility is the key A steady, uniform concrete supply is crucial for achieving excellent results. To meet this requirement, the SP 15 can be equipped with either a belt or an auger conveyor. Both conveyors are hydraulically adjustable in all directions for adaptation to site conditions and can feed concrete to left or right side mounted molds. The auger conveyor can be adjusted to steeper inclines up to 45 degrees. It can also act as a material buffer for radius work or between trucks.

Marks in favor of the belt conveyor are high conveying speed, good accessibility, as well as quick and easy cleaning. The belt conveyor is optionally available in hydraulic folding design to allow transport of the SP 15 on smaller transport vehicles. The charge end of the conveyor is capable of accepting large quantities of freshly delivered concrete. 6 // 7

8 Position the mold exactly as required by job site conditions The mold can be telescoped hydraulically by up to 28 (700 mm) Changing the offset mold from the left to the right side is affected quickly and easily on site Hydraulic height adjustment by up to 3 3 (1,000 mm) [additional mechanical adjustment: 11 (280 mm)] Molds can be mounted on either side The SP 15 guarantees maximum flexibility whatever the application. In order to fully respond to specific site conditions at all times, the mold can be mounted on the right or left side of the paver. A telescoping mount (mechanical or hydraulic) enables the mold to be shifted to the required horizontal position allowing the paving of profiles either within or outside the machine dimensions. Height adjustment is affected by the paver s lifting cylinders, offering a maximum offset paving height of 4 3 (1,300 mm), which is unique in this machine class. The maximum offset paving width is limited to 6 (1,800 mm) in the standard equipment package, but special molds can be built to customer specification.

Intelligent quick-change mold mounting system Hydraulic clamping tools secure the mold at the mere push of a button The intelligent, hydraulically operated quick-change mold mounting system enables the molds to be changed quickly and with little effort. Molds to be used with the SP 15 are available in most diverse standardized designs, or are built to customer specification. Molds are available for concrete paving in both offset and inset applications. Up to five vibrators (hydraulic or electric) with adjustable vibrating frequencies are positioned in the mold to ensure perfect compaction of the concrete mix. 8 // 9

10 Extraordinary maneuverability for extraordinary results The two front track units can be positioned separately by means of pivoting legs to run as close as possible to the paving profile while ensuring the stability of the machine The three steerable track units enable the SP 15 to perform agile turning maneuvers on its own axis. This gets you into, and out of, tight spots thereby reducing costly hand work The rear track unit can be hydraulically telescoped in horizontal direction a feature enabling it Paving tight radii with the greatest ease Veteran slipformers know how important jobsite mobility and maneuverability is. The steering system of the SP 15 has been designed to fulfill precisely this requirement: each track unit can be turned at extreme angles, which makes tight radius work smoother and more precise. The spinning and churning associated with most machines in tight radii are eliminated. Additionally, both front tracks can be repositioned hydraulically, providing the SP 15 with excellent stability in even difficult conditions. A special highlight: the steering geometry is monitored by an on-board computer system to ensure optimum driving in bends.

The trimmer, which is fitted with cutting tools arranged in a helical pattern, accurately sets grade for maximum concrete yield. The trimmer s slope, as well as horizontal and vertical positions are all hydraulically adjustable. The trimmer can readily be converted to different milling widths. 10 // 11

The SP 15 reacts to inputs from stringline, slab tracers or stringless control with a speed and precision unmatched by any machine in its class. And setting the machine to follow these inputs is easy and intuitive using the user-friendly system control menus. This means less hand finishing and more production.
