How we control dust emissions form enabling works Soilfix take a Proactive rather than Reactive approach to environmental monitoring & controls Close consultation with Golder Associates to develop procedures for environmental monitoring & controls incorporated into site specific method statements Environmental monitoring undertaken by Soilfix s experienced site staff and third party analysts (R.E.C.) for reassurance air testing All monitoring results to be referenced on site and recorded daily in Site Environmental Diary

9 5. How we control Dust / Odour / Noise There will be noise & limited vibration generated from the works. This will be managed as far as reasonably practicable to minimise disturbance to the school & surrounding residents Noise Monitoring using hand-held digital sound level meter Selected plant only to be utilised therefore reduces noise levels to a practical minimum, only modern, well maintained EU compliant plant to be used during the works Dust suppression measures include damping down working areas, fine mist suppression equipment and covering / damping down stockpiles where required Soils will be removed off-site as they are generated as much as practically possible to further minimise potential for dust emissions

10 6. What Lorry Movements will there be? HGV s will be utilised to deliver the alternative units for school reception & children s toilet facilities, site plant & equipment, inc welfare units. The welfare units shall be placed with a lorry mounted crane Soils will be removed off-site by being carefully loaded into 8 wheeled tipper lorries dust emissions to be controlled and monitored at all times whilst within the loading area directly off Kensington Place All lorries will be managed on & off site by traffic marshalls in accordance with the traffic management plan All lorries to be equipped with self sheeting to control dust emissions Periodic movements of plant & equipment for the works planned within normal site hours & marshalled into and out of the site. Plant & vehicle movements to be carefully planned to minimise impact between 08:30-09:00hrs and 15:00 15:30hrs at peak times when parents will be dropping off & collecting their children.
