Areas of activity 4. Are there any noise or work restrictions for the area as it is surrounded by residential? Contractor is to follow City of Folly Beach work restrictions. 5. In section Cast-In-Place Concrete / 2.11 Concrete Mix s general E. Refers to color pigment. No locations identified in specs or plans? There are not requirements for pigmented concrete, delete that requirement. See Addendum #2 6. Please clarify what is meant by requirement number 7 on page 20 of the RFP. Attachment 3 on the solicitation section of the website is the entire set of specifications. Which portion of the specifications would you like signed and returned as part of the proposal? Explain how your firm will manage the budget and impact cost control for this project. Please acknowledge in your proposal that you have read and understand the entire set specifications 7. In the specifications there is Section Resinous Flooring and following that there is Section Resinous Flooring. Which takes precedence? Both specification sections shall be referenced, there are 2 different Resinous Flooring products being used on the project. The Finish Schedule and Finish Material Legend on sheet A140 defines the specific

areas for each product; refer to revised Sheet A140 issued as part of Addendum #2 8. The new 6 Water main shown as new on the plans to get water to the site is already existing according to Folly Beach. Engineer needs to correct plans. Contractors shall bid the project with new water as shown in the construction documents. The Contractor shall include cost to perform SUE (Subsurface Utility Exploration) to determine if the water line exists and what condition it is in. 9. On Drawing A500, Wall Details, Sections 1 thru 5, it notes metal studs and metal decking; I do not see any metal studs or metal decking on this project, should these details be deleted? These details do not apply to this project. See Addendum #2 10. In the RFP it says to see Attachment 1g for the SBE Goal, I believe this should be Attachment 1f, but I do not see any goal listed, can you provide the SBE goal for this project? SBE goal is 10%. 11. Sheet S101 notes Concrete Slab under Building per Civil. Civil sheet C300 notes Concrete Slab, see Structural Plans. Please provide information for this slab. The plans have been revised to show a 6 pervious concrete slab under the dunes house. See Addendum #2 Page 2 of 8

12. Sheet S102 notes Supplementary Event Tent Deck Framing, Block Below Deck as Required. No sections, details or information has been provide for any supplementary framing or blocking at this location. Please provide framing information or an allowance to cover any additional framing members or blocking beyond what is shown on S102. 2x10 blocking is required perpendicular to joists at the supplementary deck framing. See Addendum #2 13. How far above the ceiling do interior, non-load bearing walls need to extend? Interior walls in the Restroom Building shall terminate at the ceiling joists, interior walls in the Administration Building shall terminate at the bearing height. Refer to question 17 for additional information. See Addendum #2 14. There are numerous locations where several windows are spaced close together, for example four type A windows at room 110 or three type B windows at room 103. At these types of locations, should there be a separate header over each window or one header over all of the windows? If one header over all of the windows is required, header information will need to be provided at many of the locations as the span will exceed 8-0 and the header schedule on 1/S501 only provides header information for spans up to 8-0. See revised header schedule for openings up to If the length of consecutive openings exceed 12-0 use multiple shorter headers. See Addendum #2 15. Please provide beam/header information for the span over the entrances to the Concessions Building along column lines 6 & 10. See attached screen shot for reference. See Addendum #2 - Revised Plans. 16. Wood Decking Note 3 on sheet S001 notes 2 Trex decking unless noted otherwise. Sheet S102 notes both 1x6 and 2x6 Trex Decking boards. The architectural plans note all composite decking as 1x6. The specs also note 1x material. Should all trex/composite decking be 1x material? If not please clarify exactly where 2x material is required. All composite decking shall be 1x members. See plan revisions on S001 and S See Addendum #2 Page 3 of 8

17. 3/S502 notes 2x10 ceiling joists at the concessions and restrooms buildings. The architectural wall sections on A310 do not show ceiling joists at these buildings. Are 2x10 ceiling joists required throughout the concessions and restrooms buildings? 2x6 ceiling joists are required at 24 on center maximum. Attach with ledger and joists hangers. Provide solid bridging at 8-0 on center. See new detail revisions. See Addendum #2 18. Are roof rafters at the concessions and restrooms buildings required to be pressure treated? No 19. Are roof rafters and ceiling joists at the canopy adjacent to the concessions and restrooms buildings required to be pressure treated? Yes 20. There appear to be 2 different types of cross bracing shown on sheet S101, one with dashed lines and one with solid lines, however only the bracing with the dashed lines is shown under the Pile/Foundation Plan Notes. Are there 2 different types of cross bracing and if so what is required at the locations with the solid lines? Galvanized rod cross bracing is required underneath the building footprint except at the entrance of the covered picnic area where timber knee bracing is called out. 2x timber cross bracing is required at the boardwalk. See plan revisions. See Addendum # /S105 is titled Existing Shower/Changing Room Platform Plan but it appears that this is all new construction. Please verify is the framing shown on 2/S105 new or existing? The framing is new. The name has been revised. 22. No foundation plans have been provided for the beach access boardwalk/platform plans shown on 2 & 3/S105. Section 1/S506 is assumed to be the typical section for these boardwalks/platforms. Are the 8x8 timber posts driven into the earth? Are any concrete foundations required? Please clarify foundation requirements for these 8x8 posts. They are to be driven into the earth and concrete foundations are not required. The method for driving is means and methods of the contractor. Page 4 of 8

23. Please provide a required height ( h ) for bid purposes for the 8x8 timber posts shown on 1/S506. There is no way to determine this height from the information provided. See top of deck elevation. The height from there to the surveyed land profile varies. This will determine the total height at each location. The 2/3h is a minimum requirement. See Addendum #2 24. There are no structural plans for the connecting boardwalk to the relocated restroom trailer (Alternate 2). Please provide structural plans. The new boardwalk will be continued in front of the proposed relocated trailer as shown on the updated plans. The Restroom trailer will sit on a pervious concrete slab. There will be no physical connection between the boardwalk and the trailer. 25. The typical section through boardwalk on 1/S505 notes 2x8 min transverse X- Bracing where piles exceed 6-0 above grade. The elevations noted on A101 note the elevation of the boardwalk at a maximum of 4-6 therefore the X-Bracing would not apply. Please verify that the 2x8 X-Bracing noted on 1/S505 would not apply. Not necessarily, coordinate with the grading plan (C400). The profile of the sand below varies a lot between the buildings to the end of the boardwalk. Where the boardwalk exceeds 6-0 in the field, X-bracing is required. 26. Elevation 2/S505 notes 2x8 min longitudinal X-Bracing as required. Please provide locations where X-Bracing is required. See foundation plan revisions, S101. See Addendum #2 27. What is the required spacing of the balusters at the guardrail? Guardrails shall be constructed so that the barrier prevents the passage of a 4-inch diameter sphere See Addendum #2 28. There are no sections or details that show guardrail with ADA handrail (the sections on A522 do not show handrail). Is the handrail made of composite material? Please provide a detail that shows the handrail shape and dimensions. The guardrail with the incorporated ADA handrail is a railing system provided by the composite deck manufacturer; refer to new detail 5/A800 issued as part of Addendum #2 Page 5 of 8

29. Is there a site plan or architectural drawing that indicates the Finish Floor Elevation of the walkway decks or a profile of the decks that gives a reference to MSL elevation for walkways at Access Paths 3, 4? The walkway decks are intended to provide consistent, ADA compliant access and staging to the beach and do not need to be raised more than necessary to construct the framing. The boardwalks finish floor elevation shall be 1-0 above the sand dunes. See Addendum #2 30. AS101 At Beach Access Paths #3, #4, #6 and #7 the symbol indicates demolition which we would understand to mean remove all structural components. The wording of DO #3 Note uses the word Abandon which could be interpreted to simply leave in place. Please clarify what it that you intend is. Demolition Key Note D03, the word abandon shall mean to leave in place, there are no structural components to remove, no demolition work required. The work to the associated showers and changing stalls are still identified with their own Demolition Key Notes D01 & D S101: Cross Bracing. Cross bracing appears to be represented by two symbols: dashed and solid lines. The section given thru the dashed lines seem to indicate 5/8 Rod. Yet other sections or elevations show solid wood framing at x bracing where other dashed lines are indicated. Galvanized rod cross bracing is required underneath the building footprint except at the entrance of the covered picnic area where timber knee bracing is called out. 2x timber cross bracing is required at the boardwalk. See plan revisions. See Addendum # /S505 Pile Cap is depicted as single 2x12. Should this be double? Yes, this should be double per members called out on S105. The detail has been revised to reflect this more clearly. See Addendum #2 33. Shear Walls. Please indicate where specifically these occur. All load bearing walls at the building perimeter are considered shear walls. S102 has been revised to reflect this more clearly. See Addendum # /S501 & 11/S501 Wood Deck is indicated---should this be noted as composite decking? Yes. All decking to be composite. Page 6 of 8

35. 4/A102 section of bench. Plan seems to indicate a rail or some other feature at each end. Not depicted in section. There are no rails or other special features on the benches; they shall be constructed as indicated on details 4/A102 & 2/A Posts on Change Roof indicated as 8x8 on Structural S506 and as 4x4 on A420 The 8x8 timber posts are to be used. 37. I am requesting information for the Dune Restoration Grasses. The plant schedule says "See Detail For Specs" but there aren't any details showing the specs. Can you give the plant sizes for the Dune Restoration Grasses, the Bogue American Beachgrass, Northpa Bitter Panicum and Sea Oats? Refer to Sheet L201, the Dune Restoration Grasses are all to be containerized nursery seedlings. See Addendum #2 38. Is an asbestos survey available? No 40. Please specify certification requirements, if any, for the Quality Assurance Supervisor (reference RFP package page 10). Refer to RFP package page 11 item c. 41. Section 2/A522 notes 1x8 PT 8 O.C., RE: Plans and Elevations for Location. I have been unable to locate any locations where slats are shown are noted at ramps, boardwalks, stairs or landings but there are not elevations provided for all locations. If slats are required at any ramps, boardwalks, stairs or landings please clarify locations where they are required. The WD slats shall only be installed in select areas of the ramp/boardwalk/stair around the front plaza; additional keynotes and notes have been added. Refer to revised Sheet A100 issued as part of Addendum #2 42. The finish schedule notes ACT and gypsum board ceilings at Closet 104 but the RCP on sheet A121 only shows ACT. Which is correct? Closet 104 shall have ACT-1, Office 103 shall have ACT-1/GYP. BD. Refer to revised Finish Schedule on Sheet A140 issued as part of Addendum #2 Page 7 of 8

43. Is the FDC and adjacent 6 DIP water line shown on sheet C300 existing or new? The FDC connection and adjacent 6 DIP water line are proposed 44. Please provide dimensions for the backflow preventer enclosure slab for bid purposes. The proposed specified enclosure is 26 Wide x 70 Long. For bidding purposes, please assume a slab which is 6 larger on each side of the box (38 x 82 ) See Addendum #2 45. Is the 4 sewer lateral shown and noted on sheet C301 (note 13) part of Alternate 1? All utilities associated with the relocation of the restroom trailer are part of Bid Alternate Is the relocated water line at the Pelican Watch Building noted on sheet C301 part of Alternate 4? The relocated waterline to the Pelican Watch Building shall be part of the Base Bid. 47. Please provide ceiling heights and/or elevations for the Pelican Watch Building.
