3 Summary PROMPT STEEL BUILDINGS AND CONTRACTING (PSBC) is a general contracting company in which providing service to industrial, commercial and residential sectors in a high quality standard using the latest value engineering processes. PSBC is a geographical expansion of the company operations in Qatar. PSBC was established in November 2006 in Abu Dhabi - UAE to cater the booming and demanding market in UAE specifically the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. 4 Services PROMPT STEEL BUILDINGS AND CONTRACTING (PSBC) is a General Contractor in United Arab Emirates, in which PSBC is a pioneer in providing construction solutions in professional and cost effective manners. A. Turnkey Contracting PSBC provides experienced and knowledgeable professionals to handle all phases of project construction. As a General Contractor, we handle all types and volumes of projects from new construction to renovations. Our project management team provides full coordination throughout all project phases with our field staff, workers and qualified subcontractors delivering project on schedule with the highest standards of safety, environmental and quality. B. Design and Build Solutions PSBC handles Design-Build projects, in which establishes a direct contract with client to provide all design aspects related to structural, architectural and electromechanical. PSBC and design personnel, working together as a team, evaluate alternative materials and methods efficiently and accurately. Value engineering and construction ability are utilized continuously and more effectively when the designers and PSBC work as a team during the entire design process. These steps ultimately save the owner significant amounts of money and time. C. Value Engineering Value Engineering (VE) is a systematic, functional, and creative analysis of a construction requirement to achieve the best functional combination of cost, reliability, and performance, over the life-cycle of products, systems, equipment, facilities, services, and supplies. VE is performed by PSBC team of experienced multi-disciplinary professionals and subject specialists, whose discipline and expertise match that required by the construction project. VE is usually performed by the Design Review A-E. The VE Workshop occurs at the 35% Design Stage or earlier. D. Manpower In general, Prompt Steel is managed and operated by a team of professionals with unique talents from diverse backgrounds. Today PSBC employs over 250 employees in which has earned a remarkable position in the market in a very short time. The management has initiated an extensive plan to keep the firm growing in order to serve the market needs. 45 ISO Implementation IMS PSBC is certified and implements the Integrated Management System (IMS) which consists of Quality Management System (ISO 9001:2015), Occupational Health and Safety Management System (ISO 18001:2007) and Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) in which PSBC has been successfully audited by Quality Registrar Systems. A. Quality Control & Assurance Plan (QMS 9001:2015) PSBC maintains Quality Assurance Plan, which will be implemented for each individual project, the company is handling, covering the aspect of work involved within each project. The QA/QC plans are based on the corporate Manual and adapted to suit each Client s requirements in accordance with contract conditions. This will enable integration within the Company QA Systems and allows for greater control in implementation. QA plans include project organization structure, coordination and operational procedures, with concerned authorities and responsibility scheme for all stages of the project. B. Health & Safety (OH&S MS 18001:2007) All the plans and procedures are regularly monitored and audited, both at the project and corporate levels to ensure compliance with contractual requirements. Regular meets of the Quality officers are conducted in the presence of Clients and Consultants in order to review the Quality aspects and to adopt positive views. The Company follows guidelines of its HS & E Policy and implements procedures detailed in this HS&E Manual. During the past years of operations, the Company has gained recognition from Clients and Authorities due to the Company s ability to fulfill its contractual obligations towards its clients as well as the ability to maintain a healthy and safe working environment for its personnel and visitors. C. Environment Management System (EMS-14001:2015) PSBC strictly applies and monitors its Environmental Management System procedure to reduce cost of waste management, savings in consumption of energy and materials, lower distribution costs, improved corporate image among regulators, customers and the public framework for continual improvement of environmental performance. All policies and procedure are maintained to cater the company s efficient system implementation, which at the end improves the company s workplaces for employees, clients, and suppliers. 48
