3 Ramona Opportunity High School/ Indiana Station Status 1. On April 19, 2006, Metro held an Indiana Station Workshop to receive input and feedback from the Community on proposed Options for the Indiana Station. Community comments indicated overwhelming support to Re-Build Ramona Opportunity High School and keep the Indiana Station on LAUSD property. 2. On May 3, 2006, the Metro Board of Directors approved a funding plan between Metro and LAUSD that will allow for the re-building of Ramona Opportunity High School and keep the Indiana Station at the location on Indiana Street as approved in the FSEIS/FSEIR Locally Preferred Alignment. 3. Metro and LAUSD are drafting a land exchange which includes the terms and conditions of the funding plan and cost sharing arrangements which requires final approval by both parties. 3

4 Ramona Opportunity High School Indiana Station Status Indiana Station remains on LAUSD Ramona Opportunity High School site. Ramona Opportunity High School is re-built. Requires acquisition of 9 Alma Avenue properties and land exchange agreement between Metro and LAUSD. 4

11 Construction Progress 101 Freeway Bridge Overcrossing Construction of the bridge deck continues as the Caltrans contractor makes preparations to complete the last concrete column in the middle of the freeway. Caltrans is scheduled to complete the entire project by early

14 Construction Progress Tunneling Update The first tunnel boring machine, which began tunneling on February 23 rd, has tunneled close to 800 feet. The second tunnel boring machine, which began tunneling on April 27 th, has tunneled close to 100 feet. 14

15 Construction Progress Soto Station Station structure excavation has been completed. Placement of the station subinvert slab foundation is underway. 15

19 Ad-Hoc Sub Committee Update Committee convened its third meeting on April 27, The Project Archaeologist made a presentation of the findings at the March 23 rd meeting in Boyle Heights and again on April 27 th in Chinatown. Project Archaeologist will have a completed report later this month. Metro will present preliminary spatial requirements and suggested options for re-interment at the next meeting of the Ad-Hoc Sub Committee. 19
