32 Conclusions Seismic Base Isolation Applications within the Scope of New Codes Workshop 3 May 2018 Thursday Wyndham Hotel Ankara Seismic isolation is an effective solution for the protection of new and existing structures (Buildings, bridges, industrial plants, etc.) seismic isolation with pendulum isolators (double concave curved surface sliders) guarantees the possibility of reusing the existing tank substructures without reducing the tank capacity the nonlinear time history analyses results show that the acceleration on the impulsive mass is less than 1/3 of PGA the results of the dynamic tests carried out on the isolators confirm that their behaviour corresponds to the theoretical one
