1 ABOUT US AND OUR MATERIAL

2 Concrete, noun. Made by mixing inert mineral matter, called aggregates, and an adhesive. Combined with water, these produce a paste of variable homogeneity that can be moulded in a workshop.

3 Pur Béton is the result of a love story between founder Paul Rosa, a man of many talents and passions, and concrete, substance with infinite possibilities. Creating a mix capable of unusual shapes, pushing the limits of moulding, designing textures, and perfecting finishes is an art on the cusp of engineering. It is a daily technical and creative challenge. An entrepreneur and designer by trade, Catherine Fréchette did not think twice about joining Rosa at the helm of Pur Béton. Her touch can be felt in every aspect of the company. Since 2009, Pur Béton is a leader known for its products quality finishes and refined shapes The first pieces for customers take shape Launching Rituel by Pur Béton: a limited-edition collection of sinks and tables that marry art and function. Rosa worked for many years as a mould designer in aeronautics. The knowledge and technical skills he acquired there now drive Pur Béton s production Major renovations to the workshop and the installation of a 400-squarefoot showroom Adding 2,200 square feet to the workshop and acquiring many specialty tools has allowed Pur Béton to increase its production Acquisition of a 4000 sq. feet. building in the small municipality of St-Chrysostome. Nearly untameable, this material has inimitable qualities that bring it to life. Working with concrete calls for a communion between the craftsperson and the material; once the piece has been taken out of the mould, we are inevitably drawn to its marks and the effects of its transformation. Each piece abides by the laws of gravity and chemistry, giving it a soothing humanity and authenticity. They are, in fact, what differentiate our products from their manufactured and synthetic counterparts. These characteristics do not affect quality or functionality. We consider concrete to be a living matter and expect it to change over time with normal wear and tear, just like leather or oiled wood. Penetrating sealer We use a penetrating sealant for all our concrete elements, except for special projects. It offers good resistance to scratches, heat and oils. However, this type of sealant offers little protection to acidic liquids, such as lemon juice, vinegar, etc. The surfaces solicited and marked by discoloration will then His touch and natural finish harmoniously complement the pieces we make with care and passion in the workshop.
