13 CONTRACT CHANGE ORDER MEMORANDUM Background The Contractor as concerned the Soldier Pile Wall 4 fascia panel all is 6 inches at the top ith 2 layers of steel reinforcing bars. This is not enough room to use a tremie or even to use a standard 2 %"vibratory stinger. CH2M HLL evaluated options to make more room for concrete. The conclusion is a vertical face on the soldier pile all. This also ould modify the soil nail all to vertical ith one layer of steel reinforcing bars. There is cost savings for the fascia panel on the soldier pile all. The revised plan sheets ere distributed to the Contractor under Field Order Nos. 3 and and are attached. Cost Justification The Engineer's estimate for the Wall 4 items is as follos: The unit price for Concrete Fascia Panel for Wall 6 is $88. per square foot. This ork is similar to the proposed vertical all at Wall 4 in that the all is parallel to the soil nail all. The thickness of the fascia panel at Wall 6 is similar to Wall 4. Wall 6 has a sculptured finish; Wall 4 has a form liner. The proposed unit price of $88. per square foot for the vertical fascia panel all at the soldier pile at Wall 4 consistent ith the unit price for the fascia panel all at Wall 6.
