1 UNDP Operations Service Center, Erbil Iraq Reference: ITB 037/17 - The Renovation of Ramadi Maternity and Children's Hospital, Anbar Governorate, Iraq Clarification to Bidders Responses 1 Requested for CAD drawing for the main building, building#1 and building#2 (Architectural and civil, Mechanical, Electrical) All the drawings are already uploaded in PDF with tender which is enough at this stage to prepare the bid. CAD drawings will be shared with the 2 Mechanical work / medical gases (main building):- a. Item 1 in the BOQ mention for 2000L/Min for Vacuum system while in the drawing ME-02 there is vacuum system with 1000 l/min. b. Item 2 in the BOQ we need to know the type medical oxygen plant does it PSA or liquid Oxygen and how much the purity of O2? c. Item 3 in the BOQ we need to know the number of cylinders for the manifold and there is no drawing for it as it mention in the drawing ME-01&02. d. We need details drawing for the Items (4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,12) in the BOQ. e. We need network pipes drawing details. f. There is no pendant for operation rooms in the BOQ while it has been mentioned in the recommended bidder for implementation of the project. a. The true capacity is 2000l/min as mentioned in BOQ b. The kind of oxygen plant was mentioned in specification and its liquid Oxygen, and the purity as mentioned in specifications c. The number of cylinder 24 cylinders as mentioned in ME-02 d. All these items just replace old with new equipment s and no need to drawings e. All pipes are founded previously and no need to work new network pipes. 1

Item 9 please note that we had 140 new bed head unit and all these need new pipes and as you mention in item 9 we had only 60m.l, therefore these pipes length not enough for the new BHU and gas outlet (gas socket). g. All central BHU are present and need to replace and all pipes are found just need to clean and repair some damage parts. 3 Mechanical work / plumbing (main building):- a. we need drawings for items (5.1) (5.2)(5.3)(5.8)(5.9) (5.10) (5.13) in the BOQ in order to calculate the path route. b. we need drawings (MC-54) it doesn't exist as mentioned in BOQ item Mechanical work / HVAC (main building) a. Item#1 doesn t match quantities between BOQ and mechanical drawing. b. Item#7 doesn t match quantities between BOQ and mechanical drawing. c. Item#8 doesn t match quantities between BOQ and mechanical drawing. d. Item#9 we need the ducting layout for the damage zones. e. Item#12 we need AHUs layout regarding the missing AHUs locations in the drawing. f. Item#23&24 please indicate where is the specifications and details drawing regarding BMS that had mentioned in these items. a. All items are present and need to be replaced or maintained b. Its install and need to maintain as mentioned in BOQ a. The correct quantities as mentioned in BOQ - Four chillers. Updated drawing is attached (ME-14) b. The correct quantities as mentioned in drawings just three cooling towers. You ll find attached updated item#7 BOQ c. Correct quantities as mentioned in drawings and BOQ, three pumps. d. This item including cleanings all ducting that install previously and repair some parts of ducts as mentioned in BOQ and no need the layout of duct present e. See drawings ME-01 and ME-02 for location of AHUs f. These items just supply and install the sensor and in electric work 2

3 there are more details about BMS system. 5 Electrical work (main building):- a. Electrical drawings (EL-51) there is (isolation power system ), it does not mention in the BOQ. b. Electrical drawings (EL-06) we need to know the size of the circuits breaker. 6 Architectural work (main building):- a. Item (1.11.1) in the BOQ regarding the Barriers : we need more details or drawings about this item. b. Item (7.8) in the BOQ regarding external facades (steel sheet), what is the solution required for this item? 7 Items (9.1) & (9.3) in Architectural sheet for steel ceiling and vinyl floor, we found there is a big difference in the quantity (300 m2 for steel ceiling) and (600 m2 for vinyl floor) in the same rooms, please clarify that a. It is included in technical specifications and it is one of the requirements for operating room, please see the technical specifications section ( J). b. It is included in technical specifications and it is a typical diagram and the size of circuit breaker depended on the load connected to the board, please see the technical specifications sections (21 & 22. a. Drawings and details for automatic gate barriers are to be provided by contractor and to be approved by supervision engineer. In BOQ general requirements, it is mentioned in note 3.04: The contractor is required to make shop drawing and approve it from the supervising engineer before execution. b. The solution required for this item and as clarified in the mentioned drawings AR-201 to AR-205 Repainting the whole external facades using acrylic paint (outdoor and waterproofing type) And as for the 16 damaged steel panels, they are to be replaced by new ones as shown in drawing AR-203. The difference between ceiling and flooring is because the steel ceiling is for the surgery rooms only. but the floors includes surgery room and all the surrounding corridors in the surgical area. 3

4 8 UNDP is tax exempted. Is this exemption applied on the tax & customs that paid at port of importation when importing the Geosynthetic material. UNDP will facilitate in issuing a letter to the contractor to whom the contract is awarded for obtaining tax/customs exemption at the port for goods/equipment required under the UNDP contract. The import documents should be in the name of UNDP and must be submitted to UNDP at least 15 9 Could you please inform us about the item (cold store) in MEC works of BOQ of main building: 1- You write (refrigeration equipment s for cold store of 3Ton and 7ton capacities) after that your writ (cold store unit= 7 Ton) please determined which capacity mean for cold store. 2- can use gas R404a. 3- ( 7 ton ) did you mean kw or hp. 10 could you please inform the item number 9 in BOQ of main building / MEC works. You put quantity (lot). So, I cannot put price for this item (ducting) because I cannot account if I do not have the quantity. Please determined the quantity. 11 Could you please inform us about plumping work of main building the item 13 consist (maintenance sewage treatment plant) and item 16 also ( maintenance sewage treatment plant ) also item 17 ( supply and install sewage treatment plant ). please correct this case. Also, item 17 contain plant treated domestic sewage and the sewage water effluent from operation room which carry medical succeeded where can treated. 12 please correct the speed for lifts from ( ) m/s to ( 1 m/s ) because we cannot find elevator worked with this speed. days prior to the shipment. 1-the cold store consist two unites (3 Ton and & 7 Ton) 2-the Freon gas is 134a 3-I mean Ton Its mean maintenance of air ducts, included cleaning and repair some damages, the Delete item 13 and the correct is item 16, and for item 17 is supply new sewage. Also in BOQ and specification its mentioned that there is condenser coil guard, and many other data etc. All written specification is for air cooled chiller, so all these data should be revised, as any contractor will face a conflict when supplying water cooled chiller and tender BOQ is with air cooled specification, mainly we need you to give us 1- what is the cooling tower air wet built temperature? or total cooling capacity so we can make correct sizing for it Its new sewage and the location as mentioned in drawing MC-13 You can see the specifications of chiller as mentioned in HVAC specification, the net capacity of water cooled chiller is 360 Ton and Condenser Water temperature (in/out) (30-35) oc 1- Its specifications of Cooling tower check it 2-The Evaporator Water temperature (in/out) (12/7) oc 2- what is the chiller chilled water inlet outlet temperature. 16 Could you please inform us about plumping work of main building the item 13 consist (maintenance sewage treatment plant) and item 16 also (maintenance sewage treatment plant) also item 17 (supply and install sewage treatment plant). Please correct this case and determine How many sewage treatment plant in hospital. 17 Could you please inform us about firefighting work of main building the item 3. Please you must give the quantity for pipin in meter long for this item and diameter so we can put price for this item because the drawing with pdf did not explain the long for Delete item 13 and the correct item 16, and for item 17 is supply new sewage. Please you must give the capacity for Air Handling unit in (m3/hr ) or ( ton ) and type, origin and descriptions, so we can put price for this item because the drawing did not illustrate anything. 20 Could you please inform us about HVAC work of main building the item 15. Please you must give the quantity for pipin in meter long for this item and diameter so we can put price for this item because the drawing with pdf did not explain the long for pipe. 21 Could you please inform us about HVAC work of main building the item 6. Please you must give the specification for Heat Exchanger and type, origin, so we can put price for this item. 22 Please find below Request for clarifications#4 regarding the item #19 Qmatic equipment: how many users are expected to work with the system? What kind of Hardware customer requests? What kind of ticket Kiosk machine he would like to use? What kind of displays they prefer? Is this a 24/7 service department. If so, you need a public display instead of consumer displays. Do they want to stream TV on that displays? What kind of size they want to use? Please note that the tender state cooling tower type as closed type, which is 6 times more expensive than open type, and hospital application does not require such cooling tower type. The tender mention drawings, if possible send them, maybe we can find the information we need there. 24 Fans: What is the installation location for each fan (Roof top, inline, wall mounted,...) The installation fans on roof see drawing ME- You can select fan as specifications mentioned in BOQ. Also, for fans only RPM and motor kw was mentioned.
