4 Page 4 of 21 1 INTRODUCTION This report contains the minimum information sufficient for regulatory compliance and refers to the Assessment Report EWFA The referenced report presents an assessment of Hilti CP606 protecting linear joints and gap seals in walls when tested in accordance with AS and assessed with AS The tested prototypes described in Section 2 of this report, when subject to the proposed variations described in Section 3 and tested in accordance with the referenced test method described in Section 4. The conclusions of the report are summarised in Section 5. The validity of the referenced assessment is conditional on compliance with Sections 6, 7, 8 and 9 of this report. Summaries of the test data on which this assessment is based are provided in Appendix A together with a summary of the critical issues leading to the assessment conclusions including the main points of argument. 2 TESTED PROTOTYPES The referenced assessment report is based on reference test EWFA , being a test of a deflection head protected by Hilti CP606 fire resistant joint filter within a 128mm USG Fibrerock Aqua Tough Interior Panel Wall System on wall systems protected by Hilti Firestop Sealant CP 606 in accordance with AS respectively. The test was sponsored by Hilti (Aust.) Pty Ltd and was conducted by Exova Warringtonfire Aus Pty Ltd. Tests EWFA & EWFA being tests in accordance with AS of various control joints in a 90mm & 116mm thick non-load bearing CSR fire rated plasterboards protected by Hilti Firestop sealant CP606. Tests were sponsored by Hilti (Aust.) & Hilti (NZ) Ltd and were conducted by Exova Warringtonfire Aus Pty Ltd. Refer to Appendix A in the referenced assessment report for a full summary of the test data. 3 VARIATION TO TESTED PROTOTYPES The proposed construction for deflection heads and control joints in walls and floors shall be as tested in EWFA , EWFA & EWFA with conration of following variations as permitted within AS & AS Control joints and gap seals in single layer flexible walls Control joints and gap seals in multi-layered fire rated flexible walls Linear s and Gap Seals in Rigid Walls The use of timber framing in lieu of steel framing, only applicable for wall systems designed to achieve FRL -/60/60 or FRL 60/60/60 Use of various backing materials such as, Open Cell (PE) Polyethylene Foam Backing Rod, Closed Cell (PE) Polyethylene Foam Backing Rod & eral Wool or Stone Wool insulation and achieve the same FRL Reference to Test Report EWFA assess Service H to achieve -/120/120, by increasing the sealant depth from 20mm to 26mm Variation to the commercial brand name of plasterboard used. Assess different configurations for 1 hr, 2hr & 3 hr systems.

The results of the assessment report are based on actual test data and the scope is necessarily limited to the specifications indicated in section 3 and discussed in the Appendices of the assessment. 7 REQUIREMENTS The referenced assessment report details the methods of construction, test conditions and assessed results that would have been expected had the specific elements of construction described herein been tested in accordance with AS All services shall be supported in the manner in which they are assessed as described in Section 3. Any further variations with respect to size, constructional details, loads, stresses, edge or end conditions, other than those identified in this report, may invalidate the conclusions drawn in this report. 8 VALIDITY The referenced assessment report does not provide an endorsement by Exova Warringtonfire Aus Pty Ltd of the actual products supplied. The conclusions of the referenced assessment may be used to directly assess fire hazard, but it should be recognised that a single test method will not provide a full assessment of fire hazard under all conditions. Because of the nature of fire testing, and the consequent difficulty in quantifying the uncertainty of measurement, it is not possible to provide a stated degree of accuracy. The inherent variability in test procedures, materials and methods of construction, and installation may lead to variations in performance between elements of similar construction. The referenced assessment can therefore only relate only to the actual prototype test specimens, testing conditions, and methodology described in the supporting data, and does not imply any performance abilities of constructions of subsequent manufacture. The referenced assessment is based on information and experience available at the time of preparation. The published procedures for the conduct of tests and the assessment of test results are the subject of constant review and improvement and it is recommended that this report be reviewed on or, before, the stated expiry date. The information contained in this report shall not be used for the assessment of variations other than those stated in the conclusions above. The assessment is valid provided no modifications are made to the systems detailed in this report. All details of construction should be consistent with the requirements stated in the relevant test reports and all referenced documents.
