4 1 Poduction Pocess 2 Pipe Laminate Amien s ae manufactued in a discontinuous pocess by helical filament winding of esin impegnated continuous and chopped fibeglass oving on a otating oval mandel with contolled sequences. The basic aw mateials used in the manufactue of Amien s ae esin, fibeglass and silica sand. Usually unsatuated polyeste esins ae used since they give good pefomance fo most applications. The combination of esin, endless glass fibe oving, silica sand and chopped glass fibes, foms a solid sandwich stuctue. The figue shows a typical coss section of a laminate. This coss section, as well as the method of applying and placing the diffeent aw mateials, can diffe depending on the application.
