BACKGROUND TO THE CURRENT APPLICATION Application N01076AT/07 for the redevelopment of the Barnet Collage Wood Street Site was heard at the Planning and Environment Committee on 5 September The application was recommended for approval subject to a S106 agreement, (completed on 19 September 2007). At the committee meeting members requested the submission of materials (Condition 5) be referred to committee for consideration. A presentation consisting of samples boards directly referenced to plans and detailed coloured elevations will be presented at committee to provide a comprehensive impression of the effect that will be achieved with the submitted materials. 3

4 Condition 5: "Notwithstanding the submitted plans before the development hereby permitted commences samples of the materials to be used for the external surfaces of the building and hard surfaced areas shall be submitted to and agreed in writing by the Local Planning Authority, these should include but not be limited to: * Doors, windows, frames, and glazed screens * External Brise Soleils and Columns * External Pipe or Ductwork. All works shall conform to those approved. Particular regard should be paid to details materials for the Pavillion Building and other features that would impact directly on the Conservation Area. Reason: To safeguard the visual amenities of the proposed building and surrounding area with particular regard for the special historical and architectural value of Tudor Hall and the Wood Street Conservation Area." 1.1 RELEVANT PREVIOUS DECISIONS Application Ref. The details required by this Condition are therefore considered satisfactory and the requirements of Condition 05 of Planning application N01076AT/07 should hereby be discharged. 5
