ANSWER: Data Cables are not required. 2. If data cables are required, where is the location of the IT/Server Room? ANSWER: Data Cables are not required. 3. Please confirm the minimum foot-candle lighting requirement of 30-fc. Attachment D of the RFQ show the average illuminance of 31 fc taken for a Workplane Height of 12 (i.e., light at 12 off the ground). Normal Workplane Height when figuring illuminance is taken at 2.5 to 3 off the ground. If 30-fc is the required illuminance at 2.5 to 3 off the ground, more luminaries than shown in Attachment D will be required. ANSWER: The intent is to achieve approximately 300 LUX (27.9 foot-candle) at 3 above the floor surface. Adjust luminaires as appropriate. 4. Are the walls fire rated? Framed penetrations with no visible access doors leads one to assume that there are no fire dampers installed. ANSWER: Walls are non-rated metal stud and Gypsum Board extending from floor to the underside of the structure above. See Record Drawing Sheets A1.1 and AS.1. (Attachment No. 4) 5. The planned wall extending thru Left Baggage/ Security area will encapsulate at least 2 duct trunk lines. Will these require fire dampers? ANSWER: No 6. 4 ATTACHMENT NO. 03 JAXPORT CONTRACT NO. MC-1642E PROJECT NO. D REVISED SCOPE OF WORK 1. Project Title JAXPORT CRUISE TERMINAL VIP ROOM RENOVATION 2. Project Location and Legal Address JAXPORT Cruise Terminal 9810 August Drive Jacksonville, FL 32226; 3. Background JAXPORT requires a Contractor to expand and renovate the existing VIP Room in the JAXPORT Cruise Terminal. The expansion, which will increase the space dedicated to the VIP Room by approximately thirty-four percent, will be accomplished by repurposing floor space currently used as an office and breakroom. The ceilings in the office and breakroom are lower than the 12-ft ceiling in the VIP Room and, therefore, must be raised. The work also entails reworking HVAC ductwork and fire sprinklers. A new suspended ceiling will be installed in the enlarged VIP Room and new surface-mounted LED luminaires will replace the existing ceiling-mounted wall washer light fixtures. 4. Scope of Work Contractor shall provide all necessary skilled labor, materials, equipment, subcontracts, supervision, procurement, small tools, site safety, daily clean-up, and all other things manifestly required to perform the following work: 4.1 Demolition VIP Room - Room Remove and dispose of all ceiling lights; estimated quantity Remove and dispose of all air supply registers; estimated quantity Remove and dispose of all air return registers; estimated quantity Remove and dispose of existing lay-in ceiling tiles and suspension grid. 5. Remove and save 6 batt insulation above suspended ceiling for reinstallation over new suspended ceiling. Rev Page 1 of 7 ver09

5 ATTACHMENT NO Remove and dispose of all chair rail. 7. Remove and dispose of all duplex electrical receptacles in south wall; estimated quantity 3. Remove conductors to nearest junction box or source as required by Codes and dispose. 8. Remove carpet tiles adjacent to south wall. Protect and store for possible later reinstallation as directed by JAXPORT. 9. Remove and dispose of cove base affixed to south wall 10. Remove one (1) thermostat from the south wall and relocate to the west wall at a location selected by JAXPORT per Invitation for Bids, Plan Sheet 3 of Demolish and dispose of the entire south wall up to its full height. 4.2 Demolition Storage - Room Remove and dispose of door and door frame from Room into main Cruise Terminal Door Remove door and door frame from Room into Room 117 Door 117A. Dispose of door frame. Salvage door to be install in new opening into Room Remove and dispose of all ceiling lights; estimated quantity Remove and dispose of all air registers; estimated quantity Remove and dispose of existing lay-in ceiling tiles and suspension grid. 6. Remove and save 6 batt insulation above suspended ceiling for reinstallation over new suspended ceiling. 7. Remove carpet tiles. Protect and store for later possible reinstallation as directed by JAXPORT. 8. Remove and dispose of all cove base. 4.3 New Work VIP Room - Room Construct new south wall full height to connect to roof structure in location as shown on Invitation for Bids, Plan Sheet 3 of Furnish and install four (4) duplex electrical receptacles in new south wall per Invitation for Bids, Plan Sheet 3 of 3. 6 ATTACHMENT NO Furnish and install new exposed tee ceiling suspension system including new white 24 x24 lay-in ceiling tiles. Ceiling height shall be 12 feet. At project completion, provide JAXPORT one (1) case of spare ceiling tiles. 4. Install 6 batt insulation over ceiling tiles. Furnish new insulation as needed for expanded ceiling area. 5. Furnish and install new surface-mount LED down light luminaires; estimated quantity 28. Includes all necessary wiring, enclosures, electrical components, and switches. Lights shall be wired into existing wall switches and dimmer. 6. Furnish and install new air supply registers; estimated quantity 4. Contractor to determine final locations. 7. Furnish and install new air return registers; estimated quantity 2. Contractor to determine final locations. 8. Adjust ceiling HVAC ducting to accommodate new supply and return air registers. 9. Reinstall existing public address speaker. 10. Reconfigure and/or furnish and install fire sprinkler drops and heads to comply with applicable life safety code. 11. Reinstall thermostat as shown on Invitation for Bids, Plan Sheet 3 of Reinstall stored carpet and install new JAXPORT-provided carpet, per JAXPORT direction, for the expanded VIP Room area. 13. Paint all walls to full height with paint as specified in Section 5 below. 14. Paint door frames and doors. 15. Prepare floor according to manufacturer s recommendations to receive new carpet tiles. 4.4 New Work Terminal Manager s Office - Room Install new wall in place of doorway into Room Paint entire office with two coats of paint as specified in Section Paint door and frame with two coats of paint as specified in Section 5. 7 ATTACHMENT NO New Work Security Office - Room Paint entire office with two coats of paint as specified in Section Furnish and install new door frame. Install salvaged door in the frame. 3. Paint door and frame with two coats of paint as specified in Section Materials Samples and Selection 1. Ceiling Tiles: Armstrong CORTEGA, white, Module Size 2 x 2 panel, Edge Angled Tegular 15/16 OR EQUAL. Contractor shall provide a minimum of three (3) ceiling tiles from which JAXPORT will make a selection. 2. Ceiling Suspension System: Armstrong PRELUDE 15/16" Exposed Tee Grid System OR EQUAL. Contractor shall provide a minimum of three (3) grid system samples from which JAXPORT will make a selection. 3. Paint for VIP Room: a. Walls: PPG Simply Blue Flat Interior One-Coat Paint with Primer, Model # HDPPGCN28U-05F, Flat Interior. 4. Paint for Rooms and 117: a. Walls: Glidden Premium Eggshell Latex Interior OR EQUAL. Contractor to provide color selector for JAXPORT to select a color. b. Door and Door Frames: Glidden Premium Semi-Gloss Interior OR EQUAL. Contractor to provide color selector for JAXPORT to select a color. 5. Luminaires: EATON SLD606940WH Halo 6-inch Surface LED Downlight, LED 90CRI / 4000K CCT OR EQUAL. Contractor shall provide a minimum of three (3) luminaires from which JAXPORT will make a selection. Hypothetical luminaire and ceiling tile layout is provided as Attachment E. Contractor shall provide a minimum average illuminance of 30 foot candles in the finished ceiling/lighting system. 6. Carpet: JAXPORT will provide carpet that Contractor shall install per manufacturer s recommendations. 6. Submittals The following products shall be submitted and receive JAXPORT approval before Contractor issues purchase orders for the materials specified in Section 5: Rev Page 4 of 7 ver09

8 ATTACHMENT NO Samples of ceiling suspension system, ceiling tiles, and luminaires as required in Section Proposed ceiling layout with luminaires and air registers. 3. Wall, door, and door frame paint for Rooms and Operational Constraints on the Work 1. Work hours are 7AM 7PM on days when Carnival Elation IS NOT in port. The 2018 Cruise Ship Schedule is attached. Contractor shall consult this Cruise Schedule to determine the days and times that it may work. Work after 7PM may be possible but only with prior JAXPORT approval, which approval shall be at JAXPORT s sole discretion. 2. The VIP Room and work areas must be clear of debris, tools, equipment, and materials and open for use on days when Carnival Elation is in port. 3. Contractor shall perform and sequence its work so as to minimize disruptions to the use of the existing VIP Room. Specifically, this means that on days when Carnival Elation is in port, Room must be useable. Useable is defined as all contractor equipment is removed, construction debris and trash are cleaned up and removed, carpet is vacuumed, surfaces are wiped clean of dust, and air conditioning and lighting is operational. 4. Contractor may use Room as it lay down and storage area. Other storage or lay down area may be available upon request at JAXPORT s sole discretion provided that it does not interfere with cruise terminal operations or violate security restrictions. 5. JAXPORT will move all JAXPORT-owned furnishing and equipment from Rooms 115-1, 117, 117-1, and and put them back into the same rooms upon 48-hour notice from Contractor. 6. TWIC credentials are not required for this work; however, Contractor personnel are not allowed access to the Cruise Terminal berth at any time. 8. Work Sequencing To minimize impact to the existing VIP Room during construction, before starting work in Room 117-2, Contractor shall (refer to Attachment B): 1. Complete all work in Rooms and 117 (including door between rooms) with the exception of final painting and final punch list. Rev Page 5 of 7 ver09

9 ATTACHMENT NO Complete the following in Rooms 116 and 117-1: a. Demolish wall between Rooms 116 and b. Remove and store carpet tiles. c. Demolish cove base, lighting, electrical, and HVAC components as appropriate. d. Construct new walls in Room 116. e. Construct fill-in walls where doors and frames were removed between Rooms 117 and and Room and main Cruise Terminal. f. Complete electrical, HVAC, and fire sprinkler work if practicable. 3. Once JAXPORT and Contractor agree the work specified in subparagraphs 1 and 2 above is effectively complete, then Contractor may proceed with work in Room Insurance See Attachment C REQUIRED LIMITS OF INSURANCE. Contractor shall provide proof of insurance before JAXPORT will issue a Notice to Proceed. 10. Schedule Complete all work within 45 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed. 11. 10 ATTACHMENT NO Permits Owner s Option 2: If JAXPORT awards Owner s Option No. 2, then Contractor will be responsible for obtaining all permits, and Contractor shall provide any and all drawings (signed and sealed drawings by a Florida licensed architect) that may be required to obtain permits. Contractor shall secure all permits that may be required City of Jacksonville (COJ) including, but not limited to building, electrical, mechanical, and fire protection. Each application for a permit submitted to the COJ Building Inspection Division shall be accompanied by two sets of plans signed and sealed by a Florida-licensed architect. Permit applications shall also include a life safety plan and code analysis. JAXPORT will provide CAD drawings for bid drawings only.
