The key feature of SCHIAVI press brakes is their ability to produce not only simple shapes but also complex geometrical forms, both with the same high degree of accuracy. Every model of SCHIAVI press brake features advanced system for parallel bending, an essential feature which guarantees constant bending angle without the need for additional crowning system. This solution allows production of more accurate components with a high degree of consistency at reduced process time and lower production cost.

5 BSTS SEMPLICITY AND PERFORMANCE. Schiavi BSTs press brake is designed for manufactures that need to bend simple profile quickly. It has 4 axis ( Y1, Y2, X, R), the length range goes from 1,2m to 4m and tonnage from 50 to 120 ton. 6 HFBS BENDING WITH ABSOLUTE ACCURACY The HFBs press brake is dedicated to customers who needs excellent bending accuracy and have big productions. HFBs ensures high versatility and flexibility with excellent results in the productions of sheet parts with different thickness. It has up to 10 axis, the length range goes from 1,2m to 4m and tonnage from 50 to 220 ton. 7 COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES MACHINE DEFLECTION CANCELING A C structure bolted to the sides connects the upper beam to the tool holder beam, measures the machine deflection trough rulers, and automatically correct the deformation by modifying the oil flow of the valve. The upper table is carried by 4 or 5 bearing pairs that slide on steel guides integral with the machine sides. Centring and alignment of the tables is guaranteed by the high distance between upper and lower bearings (E). Two incremental rulers (Y1 and Y2) are mounted on two plates, (C) modelled on the side throats and fixed on the lower table. The rulers constantly check the oil flow of the servo-valves (B1 and B2). When the upper table is descending, the rulers will monitor the deviations; the difference between the data provided by the rulers defines and sets the automatic compensation and the corresponding table parallelism.

8 HFBX ULTIMATE LEVEL OF ACCURACY Schiavi HFBx press brake line has extremely high performances: approaching and return speed of 250mm/s. The stroke is 500mm and opening up to 1000mm. It has up to 10 axis, the length range goes from 3m to 4m and tonnage from 100 to 220 ton. 9 COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES NATURAL CROWNING Schiavi modular lower table automatically corrects and compensate the deformation, ensuring it parallelism the bottom to the upper beam. During the bending operations, the reaction forces deform the upper table on a course that remains parallel to the central core and the die holder. Following the traditional concept of the side cylinders acting on the upper toolholder table, a fully original and innovative modular structure for the lower table has been projected in order to correct and automatically avoid the opposite side deformations by getting a parallel toolholder tables flexion and supporting in this way the exclusive concept of the Schiavi press brakes. The value of the upper and bottom tool holders tables strain is the same, in consequence the punch in die penetration will remain the same on the full bending length. The above conditions will give warranty for a constant bending angle of the final product on the full tool length.

10 LINEAR GIVES EDGES TO ANY MANUFACTURES LineAr represents the finest Schiavi technology. Three sandwhich tables are kept together by springs elements, which spread the forces and the sides tables and kept the tool holder beams perfectly straight. 11 COMPETITIVE ADVANTAGES FREE CROWNING The tool holder beams (upper and lower), under a uniform load, remain straight. No crowning or any other systems to compensate the deformations of the tool holder beams are needed. The benefit on the quality of the bending work is immediate: the bending line is straight. There is no need of calculating the required crowning compensation before each different bend. There is no need of correcting the theoretical crowning compensation for each different material reaction. There is no curvature in the line of bend, which is a typical effect of traditional crowning systems. The structural advantages can be summarised as follows: The machine is designed with no welds; the entire structure is bolted together. Small size press brakes: 3 4 meters bending length and up to 400 tons. The height of the lower tooling from the ground is reduced. Medium size press brakes: 4 6 meters bending length and up to 600 tons. The foundation for the lower table is not necessary. Huge advantages for the installation and for the customer s plant layout. Big size press brakes: 6 12 meters bending length and up to 1200 tons. The foundation for the lower table is smaller than traditional ones. The size of the tables, their weight and then their cost are greatly decreased.

13 ACCESSORIES & TOOLS ROBOT OPERATED BENDING CELLS The robot-operated bending cells is a highly automated system where the robot picks up the sheet to be worked from a loading area, accompanies it throughout the bending process, and deposits it in an unloading area. All without the need of an operator. Schiavi has placed AUTOMATION at the top of its development program. Today, the bending cells can be supplied with two different slave solutions: the multi axis cartesian robot, which moves along precise translation or orthogonal rotation axes, or the anthropomorphic robot, with six fully interacting degrees of freedom.

14 TASK 84 NUMERICAL CONTROL DIVISION SCHIAVI offers a variety of advanced controllers for managing the functions of the machine. One can select from a simple controller, which allows to determine, store and control the parameters necessary for execution of the fold, to a more sophisticated control panel with advanced graphical interface and bending simulation. Each model of the controller offers an intuitive user friendly interface, allowing easy and efficient control of the machine with greatly reduced operator fatigue and errors. 15 NUMERIC CONTROL ATLAS TERMINAL As optional, it is possible to have Atlas with double monitor: the upper one is dedicated to an interactive guide for the operator through all the bending steps: proifile check, tooling set up, bending sequence steps. With the lower monitor, the operator can normally program the machine. Atlas Terminal guides the operatore during every phase of the bending cycle, minimizing the time and errors. ATLAS BEND Atlas Bend is Schiavi latest office software, powerful and easy to use. It generates in a very short time the bending sequence, tooling set up and machine program, which can be sent to the production using the company server. Atlas Bend calculates with great accuracy the development of the part based on the shortes edge, minimum radius, and tooling. The user interface is very user friendly, and the operator can claculate the whole bending sequence in few click. Atlas bend is available as Solidworks plugin, this way the user can evaluate the feasibility of the bend directly in the CAD 3D envirenment.

16 MISURATORE DELL ANGOLO DIGITALE WI-FI SCHIAVI Schiavi offers an simple but powerful system for angle measurement. With a higly precise digital goniometer, connected to the cnc control via wi-fi, the operatore can measure the angle of the part and send the correction to the machine with a click. Accuracy is 0.05.

17 BACKGAUGE SYSTEMS MPS-CZ, MPS-H, MP-8 MPS-CZ The double engine on X axes allows shifting of the rear beam to perform conic folds. Max stroke 600mm, max reference distance 900mm MPS-H The axes, featuring ball screw with particular sturdy guides, feature a wide travel range and allow exceptionally high moving speeds. Max stroke 800mm, max reference distance 1000mm MP8 The rear reference MP8 has been designed for particularly demanding applications: in fact, it can bear strong impacts caused by the positioning of plates very heavy. MP8 is formed in the X-axis by two arms. Maximum stroke: 800 mm. Stop maximum: 800 mm.
