1 Hennepin County Transportation Department ADDENDUM TO PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS FOR SPAN WIRE AL REPLACEMENTS HENNEPIN COUNTY TRANSPORTATION DEPARTMENT (To be opened Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 2:00 P.M.) ADDENDUM NO. 1 CSAHs 1&130; C.P NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS: This Addendum shall be attached to the Contract Documents and shall be included as part of said Contract Documents. Items herein shall take precedence over any clauses which they modify in the Contract Documents or portions of plans which they modify or supplement. THE BID OPENING IS HEREBY EXTENDED TO TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 14, 2017, AT 2:00 P.M. PROPOSAL The Following has been added to Section S-14.6: E) The Contractor shall perform the work at the CSAH 130 (69th Avenue) and Zane Avenue intersection beginning June 12, 2017 and complete the work by August 31, The Contractor shall perform the work at the CSAH 1 (Pioneer Trail) and Dell Road intersection beginning September 5, 2017 and complete the work by November 1, Section S-28 shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: (1718) FURNISHING RIGHT OF WAY 9/14/15 Right of way shall be furnished in accordance with the provisions of MnDOT 1718 and the following: The right of way required for construction of this project has not yet been acquired by the County. The anticipated date for acquisition of the right of way for the CSAH 130 (69 th Avenue) and Zane Avenue intersection is on or before May 1, The anticipated date for acquisition of the right of way for the CSAH 1 (Pioneer Trail) and Dell Road intersection is on or before August 1, The Contractor will not be allowed to perform any work outside of the existing right of way until the acquisition is completed. 2 Addendum # 1; Page 2 CSAHs 1&130; C.P If the County fails to acquire the aforesaid right of way in accordance with the above schedule, the right is reserved to eliminate from the Contract all work outside of the existing road right of way in this area or to require the Contractor to construct the work as specified at a later date. In the latter case, the time allowed for completion of the project will be extended for a period of time equivalent to any delay to progress controlling operations caused by such failure, and if such failure by the County causes increased costs to the Contractor, fair and equitable compensation will be made therefore. However, no extension of time nor extra compensation will be made because of any delays or extra costs incurred by the Contractor resulting from the right of way provisions herein if the County completes the right of way acquisition described above within the time schedule prescribed. Section S-32 shall be deleted in its entirety and replaced with the following: (1806) DETERMINATION AND EXTENSION OF CONTRACT TIME 9/25/15 The Department will determine Contract Time in accordance with the provisions of MnDOT l806 and the following: Contractor must start construction operations by June 12, 2017, or no later than eight Calendar days after the date of Notice Contract Approval, whichever is later. Contractor must not begin construction operations before contract approval. Contractor must complete all work required under this Contract, except Final Clean Up, on or before November 1, The Contractor must not perform work that will restrict or interfere with traffic between 12:00 noon on the day before and 9:00 A.M. on the day after any consecutive combination of a Saturday, Sunday, and legal holiday. The Contractor may request exceptions to this requirement. Exceptions must be approved in writing by the Engineer. The following language is added to C: (6) Delays of any kind due to furnishing and installing Stainless Steel-Type Dowels. The following has been added to Section SS-1.2.1: 4. The mast arms, pole uprights, rotatable H-bases, luminaire shaft extensions and luminaire davits for both Signal System A and Signal System B. The following has been added to Section SS-1.3A Install the County provided mast arms, pole uprights, rotatable H-bases, luminaire shaft extensions and luminaire davits for both Signal System A and Signal System B.

Pick Up County Provided Materials Pick up materials and electrical equipment described in (A) above at the Hennepin County Public Works - Department of Transportation Signal Shop, 1600 Prairie Drive, Medina, MN For the signal controller and cabinet follow these requirements: 1. Request County provided materials at least thirty (30) normal working days in advance of needing the material on the project. 2. Pick up the County provided materials and electrical equipment at the above specified location and transport them to the job site. 3. Secure each cabinet in an upright position when transporting to the job site. Ensure that each cabinet being transported will not tip and be damaged. 4. Notify the Engineer in advance of contacting the signal shop supervisor. For the mast arms, pole uprights, rotatable H-bases, luminaire shaft extensions and luminaire davits follow these requirements: 1. Request County provided materials at least thirty (30) normal working days in advance of needing the material on the project. 2. Pick up the County provided materials at the above specified location and transport them to the job site. 3. Secure each item when transporting to the job site. Ensure that each item being transported will not tip or be damaged. If an item is damaged the Contractor shall replace the item with new. If an item is scratched or scuffed, the Contractor shall repair and paint the item. The Contractor shall match the paint color of the item and get the paint from the manufacturer. 4. Notify the Engineer in advance of contacting the signal shop supervisor. The Contractor shall transport the signal controller and cabinet separately from the mast arms, pole uprights, rotatable H-bases, luminaire shaft extensions and luminaire davits to the job site. See Attachment A - Revised Plan Sheets for the following modifications: 1. Plan Sheet No. 2 STATEMENT OF ESTIMATED QUANTITIES Remove and Replace with attached Sheet 2R. Revised note 3 and 4 to include mast arms, pole uprights, rotatable H-bases, luminaire shaft extensions and luminaire davits as items furnished by Hennepin County.

Mast arms, pole uprights, rotatable H-bases, luminaire shaft extensions and luminaire davits will be furnished by Hennepin County and installed by the Contractor..
