Structural Calculations: None. 3. Energy Compliance Documentation: None. 4. Geotechnical Investigation: None. The 2010 California Building Code, 2010 California Mechanical Code, 2010 California Plumbing Code, 2010 California Electrical Code (based on the 2008 NEC), 2010 California Green Building Standards Code, and 2010 California Energy Code (based on the 2008 California Energy Standards) were used as the basis of this review. Plan review comments follow on the attached list. Please submit an itemized response letter and two (2) copies of complete and revised documents with all revisions clouded to the Yolo County or directly to Interwest Consulting Group. This plan review is based on the County of Yolo Building Regulations. For your convenience, the following comments refer to the 2010 California Building Code unless otherwise noted. G2. Please respond in writing to each comment by marking the attached comment list or creating a response letter. Indicate which detail, specification, or calculation shows the requested information. Your complete and clear responses will expedite the re-check and hopefully, approval of this project. Thank you for your assistance. G3. Please be sure to include on the re-submittal the architect s and engineer s stamp, wetsignature, and registration number on all sheets of plans depicting structural designed elements and cover sheets of calculations. CBPC and ARCHITECTURAL COMMENTS: A1. Please comply with the following: Provide the signature of person responsible for the preparation of each plan sheet, on each plan sheet. Reference CBC Sec. 107 & Business and Professions Code Sec OR All Architectural and Engineering plan sheets shall be sealed and wet-signed by the respective designer along with the license number and expiration date. Reference Business and Professions Code Sec A2. The following comments are from Sheet A-0. Revise as indicated below: A. Revise Codes used to include the 2010 California Green Building Standards Code (CGBSC). Reference CBC Sec B. Revise Building Data Summary to specify the occupancy group of this building, per CBC Chapter 3. This appears to be an A3 occupancy based on the use and occupant load. C. Revise Detail 12 to comply with the August 2012 CBC Supplement. Signs with raised characters and Braille shall be located 48 inches minimum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the lowest line of Braille and 60 inches maximum above the finish floor or ground surface, measured from the baseline of the highest line of raised characters. Mounting location shall be determined so that a person may approach within 3 inches of signage without encountering protruding objects or standing within the swing of a door. CBC 1117B.5.7.

3 June 26, 2013 Page 3 of 4 A3. From Sheet A-1, Revise to show separation between the pedestrian walkway at the front of the building adjacent to the Gravel Driveway. Show compliance with the following: Detectable warnings at hazardous vehicular areas. If a walk crosses or adjoins a vehicular way, and the walking surfaces are not separated by curbs, railings or other elements between the pedestrian areas and vehicular areas, the boundary between the areas shall be defined by a continuous detectable warning which is 36 inches (914 mm) wide, complying with Section 1121B.3.1, Item 8(a), per 1133B.8.5. A4. The following comments are from Sheet A-2. Revise as indicated below: A. Provide dimensions of the new landings. B. From Floor Plan Notes 2 the detail reference of 10/A-0 is incorrect. Please revise. C. Provide manufacturer s cut sheets and specification for the new Dishwasher. Please justify no type 2 hood shown/provided. D. Please specify occupant load for each area, use and total occupant load of this space. Provide occupant load calculations showing square footage and occupant load factor for all areas and uses. Specify total occupant load on cover sheet of the plans. Reference CBC Sec and CBC Chapter 1, Sec A5. Revise plans to show location and wording of Tactile exit signs. Provide detail for tactile signs and provide references at locations where they apply. Show compliance with CBC and 1117B.5. i.e. exit and exit route. ACCESSIBILITY COMMENTS: AC1. Please omit all reference to ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) compliance specified or provide a statement on the cover sheet acknowledging that the County of Yolo Building Division enforces CBC Chapter 11B for disabled access compliance and does not review or approve plans for ADA compliance. Reference CBC Chapter 11B. GREEN BUILDING STANDARDS CODE COMMENTS: GB1. Please include a green building design for this building. Identify the applicable Nonresidential Mandatory Measures and check off the Voluntary Measures selected for this project in the Application Checklist for BSC. Reference CGBSC Sec. 101, 102, 103, 301 & 303. GB2. Please provide calculations, worksheets, specifications and details adequate to demonstrate compliance with the mandatory measures and the selected voluntary measures. Reference CGBSC Div. 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4, 5.5, 5.7; Chapter 8 & Appendix A5. MECHANICAL COMMENTS:

Please provide mechanical plan indicating all return and supply air, equipment and roof access locations. Include duct type, size, location & cfm. If new equipment is to be installed, provide Title 24 energy compliance documentation. Reference CMC Sec. 113 & CAC Sec PLUMBING COMMENTS: No Comments at this time. ELECTRICAL COMMENTS: E1. Please in addition to the manual switching shown for general lighting on Sheet E-1, also show and provide automatic controls. Reference CEC T-24 Sec. 131(d). E2. Revise Sheet E-1 to include lighting fixture schedule. Identify all lighting fixtures and wattage of each. E3. Provide exterior lighting on Sheet E-1 complying with CBC 1006, Exit discharge shall be illuminated at all times the building space served by the means of egress is occupied. E4. Revise plans to show that all permanently installed outdoor lighting shall be controlled by a photocontrol or astronomical time switch that automatically turns off the outdoor lighting when daylight is available. Reference CEC T-24 Sec. 132(c). ENERGY COMPLIANCE COMMENTS: EN1. EN2. EN3. Please provide Title 24 Lighting Compliance calculations and required, completed, signed forms. Include (Part 1, 2, 3 & 4 of 4) LTG-1-C, (Page 1 & 2 of 2) LTG-2C, LTG-3C & on the plans, and LTG-4C & LTG-5C as applicable. Reference CAC Sec & CEC Part 6 Sec. 100 & 149. Please include Mandatory Measures for Mechanical (if new equipment is provided) and Lighting, on the plans. Reference CAC Sec & CEC Part 6 Sec. 100 & 149. Please provide two (2) copies of OLTG lighting calculations and ensure that OLTG-1 and Mandatory Measures form are on the plans. Reference 2008 CEC T-24 Sections , 100, 110, 130, and 132.
