Beacon Hill Maintenance Facility installation of insulated steel metal roof assembly on the Carpentry Shop and Grounds Building. Installation of spray foam insulation on walls and bottom of the roof deck on Carpentry Building, Bus Shop, District Warehouse, District Warehouse Storage and the Plumbing/Electric Warehouse, Paint Storage and Bus Shop. ADDENDUM NO August 2018 NOTICE TO ALL BIDDERS: This addendum forms a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original Bidding Documents. Where provisions of the following Addendum differ from the original specifications, the Addendum shall govern and take precedence. Acknowledge receipt of this addendum in THE PROPOSAL FORM. Failure to do so may subject the bidder to disqualification. ITEM NO. 1 All buildings specified to have spray foam insulation installed will require an ignition barrier coating (International Fireproof Technology Inc., DC 315 (or approved equal) to meet or exceed code requirements for exposed closed cell foam insulations. All walls and bottom of the roof deck that will receive the foam insulation will need to be cleaned as required by the closed cell foam manufacturer s recommendations. Several of the buildings have old coatings/paint on the walls that will need to be removed as required to meet manufacturer s recommendations. All items within the buildings will be moved by the Owner prior to the contractor manning the job. It is understood that closed cell applications are temperature sensitive and cooler temperatures require longer curing times. Spray foam cannot be installed in temperatures below 45 degrees. The foam insulation is to encapsulate the purlins. All fixtures, heaters, etc will remain in place and will need to be protected prior to the foam application. Structures within the buildings that block wall areas or doors will not be insulated. The foam application will provide R-20 below the roof deck and R-16 at all walls. Fiberglass skylights are to be covered with new 22 gauge metal panel to match existing profile prior to foam application below roof deck. The carpentry shop and the grounds storage building currently have fiberglass skylights that will have to be replaced with metal panels. ITEM NO 2 Grounds Storage Building and Carpentry Shop will have 24 gauge pre-painted gutters and down spouts replaced as part of the roof replacement with an insulated steel roof assembly. Gutters will be 6 x 6 and down spouts will be 5 x 5. Gutter and down spouts will be provided in areas that they currently exist only. ITEM NO. 3 Design Professional Fee of $6,800 will be included in Base Proposal Item #3, Lehman High School Weight Room roof replacement. ITEM NO. 4 New Bid Form Provided with addendum #1 ITEM NO. 5 Aerial picture of IMPACT Center is provided to identify building to be insulation on the IMPACT Campus.
