5 5 SCAFFOLD ERECTION AND SUPPLY With over 5000 tons of our own scaffold material available to us in South Africa and a substantial amount throughout the rest of Africa, we have the stock, footprint and expertise to ensure delivery of the right quantities, at the right time, for any project requirement. Southey Contracting is able to undertake any size project, shutdown and maintenance works where hire, supply, erect and dismantling services are called for. ROPE ACCESS Southey Contracting incorporates safe and practical methods of working at height through innovative rope access solutions. Gaining access and completing tasks in confined spaces or those presenting difficulties with restricted access requires extensive, internationally recognised training and an understanding of one s working environment. Our technicians are IRATA certified and our procedures conform to IRATA safe working practises.

9 9 VACUUM TANK CLEANING SYSTEM In Southey s never ending search to effectively improve the efficiency of our operations, we constantly explore innovative solutions to offer our clients. The newest addition to our fleet is a vacuum tank cleaning system. This system will have a direct effect on the speed deposits can be removed from the tank and increases the safety of all personnel by reducing their direct expose to the toxic waste. The system is one of the most powerful vac units on the market and is primarily used for deep vertical waste removal within confined spaces, including FPSO cargo oil and slop tanks. It is a mechanical method for producing permanent weld equivalent pipe connections (Cold weld), can be applied in the field and eliminates the need for hot work and the associated health and safety issues. It is consistent with engineering practice in the design and construction of piping and tubing systems up to 4 dia. SPS (Sandwich Plate System) is a steel-elastomer-steel composite material that is to repair and strengthen existing steel plating and piping. It is safe, fast, simple, proven and class approved method of repair and strengthening that can be completed on-station, afloat or in dry-dock.

11 11 Southey Contracting has partnered with DroneTec, a South African based UAV company at the forefront of GPS based tracking system development, to provide cutting-edge drone inspection services. Drones can provide high-resolution images and realtime videos which are essential for conducting and analysing data captured during close visual inspections. This technology significantly reduces the human resource cost in addition to providing invaluable insight into environmental compliance, safety and other risk factors impeding seamless operations. Technowrap is an engineered composite fibreglass wrapping repair product that when combined with resin becomes suitable for repairing all geometries of pipe work (including tanks and vessels) with various defect sizes. Repair can be carried within a variety of operating conditions, geographic locations and in temperatures ranging from 103 F (-75 C) to 428 F (220 C).
