The Specifications, Proposal and Contract for the above referenced project are amended to the following: 1. Exhibit A 1 to this Addendum No. 01 presents bidder s questions along with answers. 2. Referring to the TABLE OF CONTENTS, change the title of SECTION 7 from BLANK to REFERENCE INFORMATION. 3. The BID QUANTITIES forms attached within this Addendum No. 1 shall replace all of the same that were released in the advertisement version of the bid documents. In general, the modifications to the BID QUANTITIES form include the following: a. Re organization of the bid items to better reflect the description of work presented within the Special Provisions, Section 10. b. Updates to quantities. The Bidder shall review all quantities to understand changes. c. Modification to the description of two (2) bid item as follows: i. Change 12 Cross to 2 Sch. 80 PVC ii. Change Remove and Replace Existing Sewer Manhole to Connect to Existing Sewer Manhole d. Addition of four (4) new bid items as follows: i. Connection at S. 13 th St. & Seabright Ave. per Detail 2, sheet 6 ii. Connection at N. 3 rd St. & Oceanview Ave. per Detail 4, sheet 6 iii. Connection at S. 8 th St. & Trouville Ave. per Detail 5, sheet 6 iv. Connection at S. 13 th St. & Manhattan Ave. per Detail 6, Sheet 6

The City reserves the right to perform other or additional work at or near the site at any time, by the use of other forces. When necessary, Contractor shall so conduct its operations as to permit access to the Site and provide time for utility work to be accomplished during normal work hours during the progress of the Work. 3 SECTION 7. REFERENCE INFORMATION 7.1 Reference Information Provided Within These Construction Documents Appendix D presents reference information that is made available by the City. In preparation of the contract documents, the Design Engineer has relied upon the following data report of explorations and tests of subsurface conditions at the site of the work. This information is being provided as reference information and is not part of the contract documents. Letter report by Earth Systems Pacific, Pavement Rehabilitation Recommendation Report, City of Grover Beach Measure K 14 Street Repair and Rehabilitation Program Design, Bidding and Construction Phase (CIP ), October 31, Reference Information Available at the City The following reference information is available for review at the City of Grover Beach, Department of Public Works, 154 South 8 th Street, Grover Beach, California, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and Noon, and 1:00 p.m. and 4:30 p.m., on business days that the City is open. City s Circulation Element of the General Plan (also available on the City s website) The Bicycle Master Plan (also available on the City s website) Water atlas Sewer atlas Stormwater atlas (under development, draft available for review at City) Record drawings of road improvements Record drawings of tract developments City of Grover Beach Quality Assurance Plan 7. Add the following to the end of the twelfth paragraph in Special Provisions Section : The temporary 10 feet minimum width traffic lanes shall be provided with a minimum of Class 2 Aggregate Base material compacted to the requirements of Section 26 of the Standard Specifications. Contractor shall employ mitigation measure to control dust and control loose materials at all times (including workdays, holidays, and weekends) during the temporary conditions. 8. Add the following at the end of the PAYMENT section of the Special Provisions Section , HOT MIX ASPHALT: Section Payment Adjustments for Price Index Fluctuations of the Standard Specifications does not apply. 9. The following changes are associated with the Special Provisions Section , CURB AND GUTTER, RETAINING CURB, SIDEWALK, CURB RAMP, CONCRETE DRIVEWAY, CROSS GUTTER AND SPANDREL, CONCRETE SWALE, CONCRETE STAIR, DETECTABLE WARNING SURFACE: a. In the 8 th paragraph, change Appendix B to Appendix B, Revision 1.

Add the following to the PAYMENT section: Sawcutting, excavation, preparing subgrade, placing and compacting sand or aggregate base, and placing and compacting asphalt concrete for replacing HMA road section (pave out) adjacent to Curb and Gutter, Cross Gutter and Spandrel, and Concrete Swale shall be considered as included in the various prices paid per square foot or linear foot for Bid Item, Curb and Gutter, Cross Gutter and Spandrel, and Concrete Swale, complete and inplace, and no additional compensation will be allowed therefor. 10. Add the following to the PAYMENT section of the Special Provisions Section , WATER SUPPLY: Sawcutting, excavation, preparing subgrade, placing and compacting select material, native material, aggregate base, and asphalt concrete to replace the roadway section shall be considered as included in the various prices paid per various items under Water Supply, complete and inplace, and no additional compensation will be allowed therefor. For Remove and Replace bid items, the removal of any components of the new water system, as well as all new pipe and transition couplings required to complete the removal and replacement of the item listed shall be considered as included in the price paid per Remove and Replace bid item, and no additional compensation will be allowed therefor. Payment for any removals of the existing water system, as well as new fittings, adaptors, couplings and restraints necessary for completion of the connections shown on sheet 6 of the project plans shall be included in the lump sum price for bid items, Connection at S. 13 th St. & Seabright Ave. per Detail 2 sheet 6, Connection at N. 3 rd St. & Oceanview Ave. per Detail 4 sheet 6, Connection at S. 8 th & Trouville Ave. per Detail 5 sheet 6, and Connection at S. 13 th & Manhattan Ave. per Detail 6 sheet 6 and no additional compensation will be allowed therefore. New pipe and valves shown on these details are paid as separate bid items. 11. The following changes are associated with the Special Provisions Section , SEWER SYSTEM: a. Add the following to the work specifications: When connecting to an existing sewer manhole, the Contractor shall inspect and verify that the manholes is located at the correct line and grade, is functional, not deteriorated, and watertight prior to removing any portion of the sewer system. Submit the information regarding the manhole conditions described above to the Engineer. Payment for inspection, verification and submittal of manhole conditions shall be considered as included in the price paid per each for Bid Item, Connect to Existing Manhole. b. Add the following to the PAYMENT section: Sawcutting, excavation, preparing subgrade, placing and compacting select material, native material, aggregate base, and asphalt concrete to replace the roadway section shall

5 be considered as included in the various prices paid per various items under Sewer System, complete and in place, and no additional compensation will be allowed therefor. 12. Delete the first paragraph of Special Provisions Section , ROADSIGN SIGN, and replace with the following: Roadside Sign shall conform to the provisions in Section 56 4, ROADSIGN SIGNS, of the Standard Specifications, these Special Provisions, per the direction of the ENGINEER, and/or as shown on the plans. The City furnished Measure K 14 announcement signs shall be installed as directed by the ENGINEER and/or the Director. Signs include both single post and two post signs. 13. The attached Appendix B, Revision 1 (three sheets) dated 4/17/2017 and titled MINOR CONCRETE MEASUREMENT EXHIBIT shall replace those dated 3/16/ The attached Appendix D shall be added to the contract documents. 15. The following drawings are attached to this Addendum No. 1 and replace same with an earlier revision number.
