4 UNDERTAKING BY THE CONTRACTOR Dear Sir, Sub: Electrical works for Divisional Office-1, United India Insurance Co Ltd, Kozhikode Having examined the terms and conditions, work & material specifications and the drawings included in or referent in the technical bid for the above work, submission of which is hereby duly acknowledged, we offer to carry out the works detailed in this price bid as the bill of quantities, in conformity with the terms and conditions, work & material specifications and the drawings included in or referent in the technical bid for the sum as quoted in the price bid. Our acceptance to all the conditions of the technical and price bid shall persist over any other terms and conditions, deviations if any, given in our bid. We undertake, if our bid is accepted, to commence and complete the works as specified in the tender documents, as per the dates/period specified in the tender documents. We agree to abide by this bid for the period of 3 months from the date fixed for price bid opening and it shall remain binding upon us and may be accepted at any time before the expiration of that period. Until a formal contract is prepared and executed, this bid, together with your written acceptance thereof and your letter of Intent shall constitute a binding contract between us. We undertake that, in competing for (and, if the award is made to us for executing) the above contract, we will strictly observe the laws against fraud and corruption in force in India namely "Prevention of Corruption Act 1988". The connections are to be given for both LDBs. 1 No GRAND TOTAL Notes 1 Discrepancies noticed if any between the above BOQ and the drawings, material specifications & other details in the technical bid should be brought to the notice of the Architect and clarified before quoting / execution. 2 The contracting agency needs to liaison in advance with vendors of AC, UPS, Server / Data Hub, Computers, Telephone / Internet service providers, Security/Fire Alarms and such other related agencies to confirm if the provisions in the schedule of work are adequate and in accordance with their requirements. If not, necessary revisions are to be made with prior information for scope and cost difference if any. 3 Input / Output provisions for UPS are given for 2 nos. If the office has more or less than 2 UPS, corresponding provisions may be added or deleted with prior intimation of scope & cost. Notes' continued in next page

8 4 All wiring inside the business areas must be concealed through floor, ceiling, wall, furniture etc. Exceptions should be consulted with the Architect. 5 Requirements for smoke / fire / security alarms, CCTV etc are not shown in the schedule & drawings. If necessary, the same may be consulted with the owner and accordingly appropriate vendors may be consulted to provide the necessary cabling. Scope & cost to be informed prior to execution. 6 It is presumed that the power cable from the metering board to the VTPN ( to be placed at the location earmarked for DB) will be provided by the landlord / local power authority and is good enough to be used. Therefore not included in this BOQ. The same has to be checked up during execution stage and replaced if required with prior information to the Owner & Architect. 7 It is presumed that the service providers for internet and telephony will bring their connections to the Data Hub/Server and EPABX/Terminal box respectively. Provisions in the BOQ starts only from Data Hub/Server and EPABX/Terminal box. 8 The earthing must be done strictly as per specifications/is standards. After setting the requirements in the earth pit, the arrangement must be shown to the representative of the Owner/Architect before filling with charcoal / salt / earth.
