2 TECTOFIN TECTOFIN combines the strength of synthetic and rubber The best of rubber For many years, rubber-based membranes have been unparalleled with regard to UV resistance, flexibility and ageing resistance. The forming of seams and details on the construction site always remains a challenge. This generally cannot be achieved with rubber membranes without resources such as adhesives, bitumen or the combination of various materials. As a rule, these are not homogeneous seams but rather bonds. The best of synthetic Homogeneous seaming without containing any foreign substances has proven to be a reliable and construction site-compatible solution over many decades. Homogeneous seams can be created in two ways: by dissolving the membrane surface using a solvent-welding agent or by means of plasticisation using hot air. The best of both worlds TECTOFIN membranes combine the outstanding properties of both materials in one patented blend. The result is a long-lasting, robust membrane with very pleasant installation properties. The special physical properties of this combination also make it possible to forego many chemical agents that are contained in many other synthetic roofing membranes. This protects resources and the environment while also guaranteeing consistent properties throughout the entire service life of the membrane. Free from flame retardants TECTOFIN membranes are equipped with physical fire protection. Chemical flame retardants, which can drift over the installation period, are not used. With TECTOFIN SK and RV plus, the integrated glass fleece even makes direct laying on EPS and large-format wood materials possible. 2

3 QUALITY FEATURES Comprehensive range of membranes The extensive TECTOFIN product range offers the right solution for any requirement. These are specialised membranes such as TECTOFIN RG for mechanical fixing and TECTOFIN SK or RV in glued installations. However, with TECTOFIN RV plus, the range also includes the right membrane for all-rounders with many different applications. Naturally, all of the TECTOFIN membranes are approved for ballasted installation, as is standard from WOLFIN Bautechnik. Root and rhizome resistance Thanks to their homogeneous seaming, TECTOFIN membranes are root- and rhizome-proof, tested in accordance with the FLL testing procedure. The rhizome resistance, in particular, demonstrates the high seam strength and good weldability of the membrane material. TECTOFIN membranes can be used without hesitation under all kinds of greening. Root penetration due to the spontaneous growth of flora is prevented reliably with TECTOFIN Comprehensive range of accessories In principle, almost any detail can be dissolved manually thanks to the high flexibility of TECTOFIN membranes. However, it is much faster and safer with ready-made moulded parts made from identical materials, such as corners and penetrations. These accessories are supplemented with high-quality system adhesives developed together with HENKEL. Recyclable TECTOFIN membranes can be recycled without any problems. Thanks to the special synthetic material, it is possible to either return the material into the recyclable material cycle or it can be processed by means of energetic recovery. Throughout Europe, a collaboration between PVC membrane manufacturers allows for a functioning and successful recycling system (Roofcollect). Always legally secure WOLFIN Bautechnik implements technical knowledge long before this knowledge leads to changes in regulations. Besides higher quality, this means additional legal security for you. Regardless of whether a property is agreed according to the flat roof regulation or DIN 18531, you always fulfil all requirements when you install TECTOFIN membranes according to the installation directives. For uncompromising waterproofing. Resistant to bitumen TECTOFIN membranes are resistant to bitumen. The tests were passed successfully with membrane material (without fleece lamination) over a period of 90 days at 70 C. The results impressively confirm the bitumen resistance of the TECTOFIN membranes. No matter whether these come into direct contact with bitumen with or without fleece lamination. Especially wide welding window in any weather TECTOFIN membranes can be welded homogeneously using hot air or solvent welding. The optimum temperatures and speeds for the perfect seam depend on many external circumstances such as temperature and humidity. Thanks to the wider temperature window for welding, TECTOFIN membranes offer additional security when being processed. High flexibility Even at cold temperatures, TECTOFIN membranes are very flexible and enable good processing right down to the finest details all year round year. Thermomelt Connect procedure All fleece-laminated membranes from WOLFIN Bautechnik, including TECTOFIN RV, RV plus and SK, are bonded to the roofing membrane using the THERMOMELT Connect (TMC) production process. In contrast to adhered lamination, the fleece is pressed into the membrane while the membrane is still hot and thus fixed permanently in place. The composite created in this manner is completely without adhesives and forms the most secure bond between the roofing membrane and fleece, without the risk of detaching. The glued roof structure with WOLFIN roofing membranes and waterproofing thus offers the best resistance to mechanical stress, such as due to wind suction forces. In keeping with the high-quality TECTOFIN roofing membranes, greater security can be achieved consistently by using the right tools, moulded parts made from identical materials for e.g. corners and penetrations and, naturally, auxiliary materials for seam welding and sealing. Besides the possibility of manual detailing, the TECTOFIN membrane system also offers readymade internal and external corners. These not only make installation on the property easier and thus save time and money, but also offer far greater processing security. As a system part in the TECTOFIN membrane system, the lightning protection element and pipe edging is ideal for all kinds of waterproofing with penetrations with a small diameter. The WITEC welding board The welding board is equipped with a moving fillet board that makes it easier to weld surface waterproofing to bonded blank profiles and allows for the precise welding of fillets. Thanks to its special blend, the new grey membrane flange is designed for use with WOLFIN grey, TECTOFIN grey and COSMOFIN. Custom-made products can be created in many shapes, colours and sizes (length and external diameter up to 1.0m) on an individual basis. These are usually delivered within 14 days. 21 WOLFIN SYSTEM PARTS Teroson system adhesives for the TECTOFIN system WOLFIN Bautechnik and HENKEL are linked by a long partnership on the theme of adhesion to the roof. This means you benefit from combined expertise relating to both synthetic waterproofing and adhesive development. All system adhesives are comprehensively tested for your area of application on the roof and specifically on the synthetic roofing and waterproofing membranes. BAU TECHN I K You can find application videos for the adhesives at Teroson EF TK 400 Teroson EF TK 400 is a 1-component polyurethane foam for the adhesion of fleece-backed synthetic and elastomer roofing and waterproofing membranes and finely sanded bitumen membranes. In the TECTOFIN system, it is used for the strip-based bonding of TECTOFIN RV and TECTOFIN RV plus. WOLFINATOR The versatile assembly adhesive sets standards in terms of adhesion and possible applications. WOLFINATOR is a sprayable 1-component adhesive that is cured by moisture in the air, and is suitable for the efficient adhesion of construction materials indoors and outdoors, e.g. when installing TECTOFIN coated metal sheets. It has high initial adhesion and also achieves its adhesive force without primer. Teroson AD Adhesive Spray The Teroson AD adhesive spray in a practical 750 ml pack is used to aid installation and as an adhesive for laminated and non-laminated synthetic and rubber membranes and for PE- and PP-based membranes and foils. It impresses thanks to its high immediate adhesion and its ease of use, and adheres to almost all materials found on a roof. The spray adhesive is also suitable as a primer.
