1 SECTION FLUSH WOOD DOORS PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 SECTION REQUIREMENTS A. Submittals: Samples for factory-finished doors. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 FLUSH WOOD DOORS A. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, available manufacturers offering products that may be incorporated into the Work include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Graham Wood Doors; ASSA ABLOY Group company. 2. Mohawk Flush Doors, Inc. 3. VT Industries Inc. 2.2 DOOR CONSTRUCTION, GENERAL A. Quality Standard: WDMA I.S.1-A. B. Certified Wood: Not Required; Green Guard Certified C. Low-Emitting Materials: Provide doors made with adhesives and composite wood products that do not contain urea formaldehyde. D. WDMA I.S.1-A Performance Grade: 1. Extra Heavy Duty: Classrooms Public toilets Janitor's closets Assembly spaces Exits E. Fire-Rated Wood Doors: Labeled by a testing and inspecting agency acceptable to authorities having jurisdiction based on testing at positive pressure according to NFPA 252 or UL 10C. 1. Where indicated, provide doors that have a temperature rise rating of 450 deg F. 2. Provide core specified or mineral core as needed to provide fire-protection rating indicated. F. Smoke- and Draft-Control Door Assemblies: Listed and labeled for smoke and draft control, based on testing according to UL G. Particleboard-Core Doors: Provide provide structural composite lumber cores instead of particleboard cores for doors with exit devices or protection plates. H. Mineral-Core Doors: Provide the following: 1. Composite blocking where required to eliminate through-bolting hardware. 2. Laminated-edge construction. 3. 2 2.3 FLUSH WOOD DOORS A. Veneer-Faced Doors for Transparent Finish: 1. Interior Solid-Core Doors: Premium seven-ply, structural composite lumber cores. a. Faces: Grade A plain-sliced select white maple. b. Veneer Matching: Book and balance match. c. Pair matching d. Continuous matching for doors with transoms. B. Doors for Opaque Finish: 1. Interior Solid-Core Doors: Premium grade, seven-ply, particleboard cores. a. Faces: Any closed-grain hardwood. 2.4 LOUVERS AND LIGHT FRAMES A. Louvers: Wood louvers of same species as door faces B. Light Frames: Wood beads of same species as door faces. 2.5 FABRICATION AND FINISHING A. Factory-fit doors to suit frame-opening sizes indicated and to comply with clearances specified. B. Factory-machine doors for hardware that is not surface applied. Locate hardware to comply with DHI-WDHS-3. C. Cut and trim openings to comply with referenced standards. 1. Trim light openings with moldings indicated. 2. Factory-install glazing in doors indicated to be factory finished. 3. Factory-install louvers in prepared openings. D. Factory-finish doors indicated for transparent finish with stain and manufacturer's standard finish complying with WDMA TR-6, catalyzed polyurethane for grade specified for doors. 1. Sheen: Satin. E. Factory-finish doors indicated for opaque finish with manufacturer's standard finish complying with WDMA OP-6, catalyzed polyurethane for grade specified for doors. 1. Sheen: Satin. FLUSH WOOD DOORS

3 PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 INSTALLATION A. Install doors to comply with manufacturer's written instructions and WDMA I.S.1-A, and as indicated. 1. Install fire-rated doors to comply with NFPA Install smoke- and draft-control doors according to NFPA 105. B. Align and fit doors in frames with uniform clearances and bevels Machine doors for hardware. Seal cut surfaces after fitting and machining. C. Clearances: As follows unless otherwise indicated: 1. 1/8 inch at heads, jambs, and between pairs of doors. 2. 1/8 inch from bottom of door to top of decorative floor finish or covering. 3. 1/4 inch from bottom of door to top of threshold. 4. Comply with NFPA 80 for fire-rated doors. END OF SECTION FLUSH WOOD DOORS

4 SECTION LINOLEUM FLOORING PART 1 - GENERAL 1.1 SECTION REQUIREMENTS A. Submittals: Product data and Samples. B. Extra Materials: 1. Linoleum Sheet Floor Covering: Deliver to Owner at least [10 linear feet] <Insert dimension>, in roll form and in full roll width, for each type and color of sheet floor covering installed. 2. Linoleum Floor Tile: Deliver to Owner [one] <Insert number> box of each type and color of floor tile installed. PART 2 - PRODUCTS 2.1 LINOLEUM SHEET FLOOR COVERING A. Manufacturers: Subject to compliance with requirements, available manufacturers offering products that may be incorporated into the Work include, but are not limited to the following: 1. Forbo Industries, Inc. B. Linoleum Sheet Flooring: ASTM F 2034, Type I, linoleum sheet with backing C. Thickness: inch. D. Roll Size: In manufacturer's standard length, but not less than 78 inches wide. E. Seaming Method: Heat welded. 1. Heat-Welding Bead: Solid-strand product of floor covering manufacturer. F. Integral-Flash-Cove-Base Accessories: 1-inch- radius cove strip and square metal, vinyl, or rubber cap; both provided or approved by floor covering manufacturer. 2.2 INSTALLATION ACCESSORIES A. Trowelable Leveling and Patching Compounds: Latex-modified, portland-cement- or blendedhydraulic-cement-based formulation provided or approved by flooring manufacturer for applications indicated. B. Adhesives: Water-resistant type recommended by manufacturer to suit floor covering and substrate conditions indicated. 1. 5 C. Floor Polish: Protective liquid floor polish products as recommended by manufacturer. PART 3 - EXECUTION 3.1 INSTALLATION A. Prepare concrete substrates according to ASTM F 710. Verify that substrates are dry and free of curing compounds, sealers, and hardeners. B. Unroll linoleum sheet floor coverings and allow them to stabilize before cutting and fitting. C. Maintain uniformity of linoleum sheet flooring direction, and match edges for color shading at seams. D. Minimize number of seams; place seams in inconspicuous and low-traffic areas, at least 6 inches away from parallel joints in substrates. E. Floor Polish: Remove soil, visible adhesive, and surface blemishes from floor covering before applying liquid floor polish. 1. Apply two coat(s).
