When properly assembled and maintained, this product will provide years of reliable service. hese instructions include helpful hints and important information needed to safely assemble and properly maintain the end frame. Please read these instructions before you begin. If you have any questions during the assembly, contact Customer Service for assistance. END FRAME KI: HOW O USE HIS GUIDE After assembling building main frame, attach steel end frame. Read this section to learn how best to use this guide. Not all pages apply to your end wall frame. he phrase Ground Post Option used in this guide refers to end frames that do not include base plates. (B) Base Plate Diagrams: Used when end wall frame includes vertical supports and base plates that will be anchored to a concrete slab or concrete piers. (G) Without Base Plate Diagrams: Used when end wall frame includes vertical supports that will be set below grade and anchored in place using customer-supplied concrete. ROUGH DOOR OPENING: Materials are included to frame an opening for a pedestrian door. If a door will not be installed in the end wall, C-channel material is not used. Always confirm rough opening dimensions by reading the documentation included with door and by measuring the actual door before anchoring any framing in concrete. AENION: Customer/contractor is responsible for installing end framing to install door. Consult a qualified contractor to assist in framing an opening and to complete door installation if needed. Additional purchase required for doors and end wall cladding kits. Consult documentation with those items for additional details. SAFEY PRECAUIONS Wear eye, hand, and head protection. Use a portable GFCI (Ground Fault Circuit Interrupter) when working with power tools and cords. Do not climb on framing during or after construction. Do not occupy the shelter during high winds, tornadoes, or hurricanes. Provide adequate ventilation if the structure is enclosed. Do not store hazardous materials in the shelter. Provide proper ingress and egress to prevent entrapment. REQUIRED OOLS he following list identifies the main tools needed to assemble end frame. 3 Important Information UNPACK AND IDENIFY PARS he following steps help ensure you have all parts before you begin. 1. Unpack shipment and place where you can easily inventory parts. Refer to Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets. 2. Verify all parts listed on Bill of Materials/Spec Sheets are present. If anything is missing or you have questions, consult all diagrams for clarification, or contact Customer Service. NOE: At this time, you do not need to open the plastic bags containing smaller parts such as fasteners and clamps. CUSOMER-SUPPLIED MAERIALS Concrete is required to anchor end wall vertical columns. Concrete is not supplied and can be purchased locally. Anchor base plates to concrete slab or piers; end wall supports without base plates are set below grade and anchored to site using concrete. WARNING: he individuals assembling this end frame are responsible for designing and furnishing all temporary bracing, shoring and support needed during the assembly process. For safety reasons, those who are not familiar with recognized construction methods and techniques must seek the help of a qualified contractor. ASSEMBLY PROCEDURE Following these instructions helps ensure proper assembly of your end frame. Steps outlining assembly are as follows: 1. Verify all parts are included in shipment. Notify Customer Service for questions or concerns. 2. Read these instructions and all additional documentation included with shipment before you begin. 3. Gather the tools, bracing, ladders (and lifts), and assistants needed to assemble end frame. 4. Check weather before you install end frame cladding (additional purchase required). Do not install cladding on a windy or stormy day. 5. Assemble end frame. 6. Read care and maintenance information (below). 7. Complete and return all warranty information as instructed (if present). CARE AND MAINENANCE Proper care and maintenance is important. Check these items periodically: Inspect all components regularly and frequently. Check connections and all fasteners to verify they remain tight and in good repair. Do not climb or stand on shelter or end frame. Remove debris and objects that may accumulate on the shelter. Use tools that will not damage the cover (if equipped) when removing debris. Remove snow to prevent excess accumulation. Use tools that will not damage the cover (if equipped) when removing snow.
