4 Thenford Thenford is a small and handsome village just over a mile away from Middleton Cheney. The parish is rich in archaeological remains which include an Iron Age earthwork, a large Roman villa and a Saxon cemetery. The 2001 Census recorded the parish population as 74. The nearby village of Middleton Cheney is located between the towns of Banbury and Brackley, and serves the community well with a Doctor s Surgery, Pharmacy, Supermarket, Sub-Post Office, Public Library and Vets as well as two 18th Century Public Houses and a Primary and Secondary School. There are also independent schools a short distance away.
