The Addendum must be acknowledged as instructed. Refer to Part D s. Delete drawings A01 to A11 (dated November 017) and replace with the attached revised drawings A01 to A11 (dated October 018). The title of the Tender has been changed on Bids and Tenders from Brooklin Community Centre Maintenance and Repairs to Brooklin - Exterior Restoration and. 4 General Notes: All materials and workmanship shall conform to the requirements of the Ontario Building Code, latest edition. Comply with the Occupational Health and Safety Act Regulations for construction projects. Install hoarding, dust control/protection, in accordance with Ontario Building Code, Canadian Construction Safety Requirements, all municipal by-laws, standards, Occupational Health and Safety Act, these documents and the specifications. Site verify all dimensions, levels and existing conditions and immediately notify the Town of Whitby of any discrepancies. Work must be performed adjacent to and around existing equipment and Public. Exercise caution and provide all necessary protection, as required and approved by the Town of Whitby. Keep the site throughout the work area in a clean and orderly condition at all times to the satisfaction of the town. Prevent the spread of dust to other areas and adjacent equipment. Install all manufactured items in strict accordance with the manufacturers printed instructions. All interior finishes shall meet flame spread and smoke developed classifications as required by the Ontario Building Code. Cut, patch and make good all existing walls, ceiling, floors and other finishes where damaged or affected by the alterations. This drawing set does not include components that may be necessary for construction safety. General Contractor is responsible for safety in and around the job site during demolition and for the design and erection of temporary structures required to complete the work. Notify the Town of Whitby should any hazardous condition become apparent. Provide safeguard and protection against fire in accordance with the current Fire Codes and Regulations. Maintain access to exits throughout the duration of the work. Take special care to prevent accumulation of moisture on materials and within packaging during delivery, storage and handling to prevent development of mold and mildew on packaging and products. 1 A04 No smoking is permitted on the project site. Store materials to be re-used, recycled and salvaged in locations as directed by the Town of Whitby. Existing fixtures, furniture and equipment in the work area shall be temporarily relocated and protected as required to complete the work. Supply and install all temporary materials and enclosures required to complete the work. Remove and dispose of all such material off site upon completion. All Bidders are to conduct a thorough investigation of the site during the tender period and prior to the Bid Submission. The site investigation is to understand the existing conditions, extent of demolition and construction work. Taking site photographs is recommended. All new materials and methods of construction are to be in accordance with CAN/CSA. Materials and Assemblies whether incorporated in the work or not, installed and that do match the samples submitted and approved will be removed and replaced at the Successful Bidders cost. Upper Level Washrooms Mechanical Room 1 A03 Where a change in work involves, additions, deletions, or other revisions to the Work, the contract price shall be amended based on actual costs of the change of the Work ( excluding HST ) plus the total mark-up for overhead and profit as identified below; (1) ten percent (10%) on Work preformed by the Contractors Own forces, () five percent (5%) on Work preformed by the Subcontractors and, (3) Markup charged by the Subcontractors on their own work will be 10% combined overhead and profit. 13 1 Remove all rust and lose debris, built -up debris on the railings, stairs and landings and prepare entire stair railings and landing surfaces for paint finish. Fill all voids and imperfections with metallic paste. Sand all surfaces to a uniform smooth finish ready for primer and paint finish. Paint all surfaces. Apply rust inhibitor prime coat, and apply two finish coats of exterior paint. All railings to meet O.B.C. loading.
