3 GENERAL NOTES 1. Ministry of Public Works & Housing Specifications for Highway and Bridge Construction Volume II Part 4, will be followed for the works of this tender. 2. Contractor to submit asphalt mix design for engineer's approved prior to start. 3. Contractor to keep the site clean and free of hazardous materials at all times. 4. Contractor to provide and maintain offices for the project manager including all services such as (Electricity, water, internet, office boy, office furniture, stationary, A/C or heating, computers, printers, etc ) for the full duration of the works. 5. Contractor to talk all necessary protective measures to ensure the human safety during the duration of the project including, providing warning signs, barriers & guard rails and providing his workers and staff with proper safety gear. 6. Contractor to submit schedule of works for engineer's approval clearly indicating start date and duration for activities with emphasis on the school component, market area & bus stop since these dates has to be coordinated with the school administration to ensure smooth operation and with shops owners at both market area & bus stop. 7. Contractor must obtain the engineer's approval prior to starting any works outside duty hours. Rev. Date Description By 8. In case of any conflict between drawings, specifications and BOQ, then whatever is better for the client will be considered without any additional cost to the Contractor. 9. Contractors, by submitting their bids, agree that they have visited the site and are fully familiar with the site and work conditions. 10. Contractor will not be compensated for any price fluctuations which includes materials (cement, reinforcement steel ) and also petrol prices (Diesel, petrol and gas). The same applies to the prices of electricity and water. There will be no compensation whatsoever. 11. All dimensions shown on the drawings are considered approximate. Actual dimensions are to be verified on site. It is the contractor's responsibility to verify these dimensions and the same applies to road's levels. No. of steps to be as per actual site conditions considering case by case study. 12. Any claim by the contractor for time extensions will not be accepted without proper justifications and within conditions of contract. 13. Contractor must ensure smooth flow of traffic and pedestrians during executions of the works. 0 GENERAL & SITE GENERAL NOTES 14. Under ground water tank in school yard shall be priced as optional and might be deleted from scope later. 15. It is the contractor's responsibility to remove any trees obstructing the works and this shall be deemed to be included in his price. 16. Contractor to obtain engineer's approval /prior to start works in any segment of the contract specially clearance alleys & walk ways and in particular location of shelters steps and water tanks in front of the shelters.
