LIGHTBLOCKS is committed to world wide service and support of our Architectural Resin products. The foundation of this commitment is built on our service and support of our USA clients on their projects to be constructed in other countries around the globe. Lightblocks and our sales rep network is ready to provide design support, samples, prototypes and turnkey system products to more easily facilitate implementation of Lightblocks products into foreign markets. Lightblocks has addressed several important issues that have been stumbling blocks in the past when it comes to US companies doing business overseas.

Sales reps are compensated for their efforts on international projects purchased outside the USA. This is done through follow-up on projects, tracking orders and maintaining relationships with all parties involved in the supply chain. Lightblocks has worked hard to educate its staff on how business is conducted in countries we do business in; from the culture, to business hours, to the familiarity of metric dimensions, Lightblocks conducts business in foreign countries to suit the needs of the country and its protocols. Lightblocks has also developed the expertise necessary in understanding each countries requirements for materials and products entering their country and manages transportation and delivery issues across a variety of platforms.

Most importantly, Lightblocks understands that communication is key to the success of a project, particularly when the project is half way around the world. To this end Lightblocks employs multiple communication tools including: Site visits by Lightblocks personnel Web Ex real time video conference hosting to create a more personal interaction between the customer and the vendor while overcoming the obstacles of distance and time. Seven day a week support dealing with various work week schedules around the world.

Even with all the preparation that a company can do to facilitate global business there is no substitute for boots on the ground when it comes to service and instilling confidence in the foreign customer base. Seven years ago Lightblocks began to build a global presence for the distribution, service and installation of its products. The first effort in this expansion was a venture into the Australian & New Zealand market via a manufacturing license agreement with Baresque Australia. Today, Baresque manufactures Lightblocks for the Australian & New Zealand market as well as providing support for Lightblocks products in Singapore. Lightblocks will also have representation in London beginning in 2014 to support the architectural and design community there. As many US firms have satellite offices in the UK this is a natural extension of our service to you.

As Lightblocks global business expanded and the nature of our products being specified trended more toward fabricated and complicated turnkey installations we took the representative/distributor approach to new partnerships being established. Our business opportunities began to expand in the Middle East. Our first major project supplied all the exterior Wayfinding Signage for the Burj Khalifa in Dubai. Since then major projects at Sidra Medical Center in Qatar and the New Doha International Airport led to the selection of a representative/distributor for the Gulf Region. Lightblocks is proud to have a significant relationship with Tadmur Trading w.l.l. For the past three years Tadmur has provided Lightblocks products to the region. In addition to facilitating US specified projects for Lightblocks Tadmur also actively works with the Gulf Region specifiers in marketing and selling Lightblocks.

Tadmur Trading is a multi-disciplined distributor of numerous products serving the building construction and contracting industries in Qatar. Divisions include Building materials and Fosroc, HVAC equipment, Water Systems, Sports Flooring, Scientific & Medical supplies, and Construction Services. In the Architectural Division, which Lightblocks is a part of, we share the stage with other brands such as Solid Surface (Silestone, & Staron) Symphony Kitchens, Tile (Johnson Tiles, Keope, Grespaina) Bath Fixtures & Plumbing systems (Keramag, Hansa, Viega, Inda & Kaja), Hardware (Consort, Assa Abloy) & Ingersoll Rand Ironmongry security systems. To further enhance Lightblocks ability to service the region, Tadmur Trading owns and operates a fully functional solid surface fabricating facility in Doha. This facility executes certain Lightblocks fabrications and surfacing as well as service and repair of installed products. Additionally, Tadmur Trading maintains inventory of certain Lightblocks materials to meet urgent needs avoiding additional transportation lead times. Finally, Tadmur Trading is trained in the installation of Lightblocks and maintains a work group that is capable of field installations of our products.

Having a partner like Tadmur Trading working with Lightblocks is crucial to the success of any manufacturer wishing to be involved with projects in the Gulf Region. The contractors and clients know Tadmur Trading, know their reputation, use multiple products from the Tadmur repertoire and trust them to protect their interests. Lightblocks has also appointed a second distributor in the region, MODA Line General Trading LLC to service clients and customers in the United Arab Emirates. Based in Dubai, MODA Line will have access to all Lightblocks products and services from the US as well as be served by Tadmur Trading s manufacturing facility in Doha, Qatar and have access to the inventory in the region. Complex contracts with provisions different from what we are used to in the US, the pace of business, product approvals and multiple layered processes are all part of doing business in the Middle East. Lightblocks has learned to navigate this process with respect for cultural concerns and with deference to the guidance from our partners resulting in successful projects on behalf of our client specifiers.
