3 Werzalit construction panels are made from live native hardwood and softwood, using a patented manufacturing process which makes Werzalit into the weatherproof wood material that can be formed into any three-dimensional shape and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use. It is typified by its even chip composition, which takes on a particularly uniform material structure when combined with high-quality resins at high temperatures and high rates of compaction. The exact specifications take account of whether the material is designated for indoor or outdoor use. For example, the top priorities for profiles for claddings, balconies and fences are weathering resistance, high impact strength, and the light-fastness of the finish - which boasts the highest German industry standard rating of eight according to DIN classifications. Window boards, on the other hand, comprise a robust core covered by up to six layers with no joints, making them extremely scratch-proof and totally resistant to moisture, climate change and variations in temperature. Long before a Werzalit product is installed it has already passed the most rigorous hardness tests - in the laboratory or on our outdoor exposure test facilities - subject to extreme insolation - under tropical conditions with extreme atmospheric humidity - round the clock and over many years. 5 Mild in the spring, 32 C in the summer, bitterly cold in the winter. Werzalit claddings take the weather as it comes. With their strong, impact-resistant surface they protect the outside of the house and offer all the benefits of curtain-type cladding panels ventilated at the rear. As such, they protect the masonry from atmospheric exposure while the continual air circulation carries off the moisture generated by the construction materials and occupancy, resulting in a constant and pleasant indoor environment.
