AVAILABLE SIZES 4 ft x 4 ft (1219mm x 1219mm) with the following thicknesses: 2 1/2 in (64mm), R-10, 3 3/8 in (86mm) with anchoring 4 in (102mm), R-16, 4 7/8 in (124mm) with anchoring All of the HYDROFOAM boards meet the new requirements of section 11 on energy efficiency of the Quebec Construction Code chapter for insulation under the concrete slab whenever a hydronic heating system has been installed and satisfies most of the new requirements set for Eastern Canada. Check with your local Construction Building Code. For 1/2 in (13mm) and 5/8 in (16mm) pipes. ISO 9001:2015 Certified quality management system ISO 9001:2015 Warning Flammable: interior applications require a protective barrier. The expanded polystyrene used for HYDROFOAM boards is Warnock Hersey (WH) certified according to the ULC S701 standard. All installations must comply with the National Building Code. 4 INSTALLATION TIPS 1. Lay under the concrete slab only. The ground must be flat and levelled (ideally compacted). 2. If needed, apply a vapour-barrier membrane on the ground before covering your surface with HYDROFOAM boards. 3. Insert the hydronic floor heating pipes in the required direction between the multidirectional anchors. 4. Once the pipes are installed, you can pour concrete directly onto the boards (refer to your local Building Code). Visit hydrofoam.ca to see the installation video.
