1 JULY 15, 2004 CAPITAL PROJECTS UPDATE ISSAQUAH SCHOOL DISTRICT CAPITAL PROJECTS DEPARTMENT Director Steve Crawford Project Coordinators Mike Archer Tom Mullins Royce Nourigat Office Staff Debbie Massaro Lynna Philips Construction at Newcastle Elementary is proceeding on time toward substantial completion on July 19, All asphalt paving is complete and sidewalks are being framed and poured. Irrigation is being installed with planting to begin in August and completed in fall. Playfield equipment has been installed and playfield fencing is underway. Furniture, equipment and supply deliveries are scheduled to begin the week of July 19. Commons/gym/kitchen areas are all nearly complete. Technology department will have phone service and computers in operation by August 12. 6 CAPITAL PROJECTS UPDATE Page 6 9TH GRADE CAMPUS CONSTRUCTION UNDERWAY Entrance drive and 247th Ave. SE signal. Tree removal is nearly complete. The contractor has mobilized on the site. Clearing and grading for the relocation of Seibert's new driveway is complete. Perimeter silt fence has been installed. The majority of the trees have been felled and the stumps are being removed. The stump and branch grinding will proceed this week. The entrance drive has been graded and will be used as the construction access to utilize the traffic signal at 247th Ave. SE Logging operations. Tree limbing machine at work. Grading work underway.

7 JULY 15, 2004 Page 7 SUNNY HILLS PORTABLES RECEIVE FACE-LIFT Portion of the covered walkway was removed to gain access to the portables. Interiors were stripped of useful fixtures and equipment by Maintenance prior to demolition. Demolition underway. The City of Sammamish Issaquah-Pine Lake Road Roundabout and utility relocation work is in progress. Work impacting Sunny Hills is scheduled to be complete prior to the start of school. Progress of work will be monitored to keep Transportation Department and the School informed.

8 CAPITAL PROJECTS UPDATE Page 8 SATELLITE TRANSPORTATION FACILITY ON TRACK Chipper mulching wood debris at site. Future site of employee parking lot. Entrance from 228th Ave SE. Continuation of entrance from 228th Ave. SE. APOLLO ELEMENTARY RE-ROOF TAKING SHAPE Materials have been delivered to the site. Tear off of the upper layer of roofing is proceeding just ahead of the re-roofing; whatever is removed is weathered in by the end of the day. The white mineral cap sheet is being installed as time permits. Approximately 1/8 of the roof is complete.
