4 Modifications and Fitting Lights Sakkho tiles can also be modified in many ways. Modifications A tile may require reinforcing after being cut; this can be achieved with extra slats of treated timber or other suitable material to be fitted on the tile base. Decking, Joists and Battens Sakkho tiles can be installed on flat surfaces, crushed rocks, joists over concrete or a pod and joists system subfloor. Commercial Decking The tiles can also be used for commercial deckings; preferably when subject to a walking traffic similar to residential use. 5 Installation Each Sakkho tile model has a different pattern with gaps in between the top slats of timber varying from 4 to 8mm - fasteners and the installation option should be selected accordingly. Sakkho recommends wooden tiles to be stored at the installation site protected from rain, snow or direct sunlight for at least two weeks before installation to allow the wood absorb or expel humidity, adjust and remain in equilibrium with the ambient atmosphere. HOW TO ACCLIMATE TILES Important Take into account dust or water that may accumulate inside the tile gaps Open packages - leave all tiles boxed on-site covered. Stack all boxes allowing air to circulate through. Leave the timber on site for about two weeks or more. Ideally install during a season with an average humidity level. 4

Supply of tiles is subject to terms & conditions of sale, delivery, and maintenance. Merchantability of tiles is limited when using thin high-heeled footwear or thin-legged chairs due to gaps. Acclimatize wooden tiles on-site prior installation. Regularly maintain Sakkho tiles as the timber will weather. Sakkho does not offer installation or advice for particular projects to be requested from an accredited installer. Never use a faulty tile subject to our return policy.
