Originally started in the commercial construction industry, Shield It Systems specializes in clean hygienic rooms (e.g., cold storage and food processing plants). This lifetime of experience has enabled us to understand the importance of quality in all aspects of construction, while keeping the high standards required to build state-of-the-art hygienic environments. We pride ourselves on keeping ahead of safe building codes and always looking for ways to improve the quality of our construction. Shield It Systems has come a long ways from chalkboard floor plans with its original construction leaders. Investments on machines, technical software, and quality employees are the foundation of our success. Customers are no longer restricted to local driving areas. We found products that save time and money while providing superior quality. We incorporated these specialized materials into our food plant construction and developed a cutting edge system, never before seen in the USA. As the demand for these products increased, so did the need for manufacturing here in the US. Thus we saw the need for a completely seamless construction method, and we researched and developed products that were missing or could save time and money and developed them into a product line that we could manufacture here. We see the need for all food plants to be built to the same high standards and with these types of products for the benefit of all involved and most of all the consumer. We feel that safe food and storage of that food starts with each component of the building and ends with safe food on the tables of our customers and consumers. The Seamless Hygienic System from Shield It Systems uses FRP wall and ceiling panels along with Curb-it modular wall protection curbs that join seamlessly, preventing any mold, mildew, or bacteria from entering the panel or building structure. The U.S. Food Safety Modernization Act of 20 mandated sweeping reforms to the way we process, transport, and prepare food safely. Alternative solutions, such as silicone joints, can deteriorate quickly with frequent hot-water, high-pressure spray cleanings, and harsh chemicals. Our integrated FRP finish provides a durable, scratch resistant surface, that is easy to clean while providing superior moisture resistance. The integrated FRP faced Curbs will not deform or break under impact like traditional building materials. The glass mat in pultruded parts distributes impact load to prevent surface damage, even in subzero temperatures. FRP is a good insulator with low thermal conductivity. 4 Hygienic Bollard Protection POLYMER BASED SHOCKPROOF BOLLARDS Stop It bollards are the ideal solution to protect your employees, door openings, and wall corners, as well as equipment and machinery. Stop It bollards are designed with safety in mind. The impact surfaces are built to handle a high level of energy absorption. This shockproof design provides protection for both machines and their operators. The material used for Stop It bollard construction is a UHMW, making them ideal for the food processing industry. Stop It bollards are easy to install, remove and maintain. They are delivered pre-assembled and ready for installation, and come with an innovative floor anchoring system. The system uses a threaded rod attached to a special anchoring block, which enables the installer to proceed to immediate locking of the anchor without having to wait for the drying of the cement mixture in which it is embedded.
