2 1.0 EXECUTIVE SUMMARY M/s New Kaptan Brick Field is proposing excavation of Brick Earth resource of uneven vacant not agriculture land in Mining Lease measuring Hectares at Gata nos. 165, 183, 185, 118, 13 situated in Village Rampur Gosain, Tehsil Musafir Khana, District Amethi, U.P. In accordance with the schedule of EIA notification,14/09/2006 and its amendment dated 15/01/2016, the mining activity in area less than 5 ha has been categorized into B2 category for the purpose of seeking prior environmental clearance, yet, in view of the above Notification, all mining projects of minor mineral including their renewal, irrespective of the size of the lease would henceforth require prior EC and that the defined in EIA Notification, 2006 amended on 15/01/2016, will be considered by the respective District Environmental Impact Authorities (DEIAA) notified by MoEFCC following the procedure prescribed under the EIA Notification, Therefore project proponent has to seek prior environmental clearance. 1.1 SALIENT FEATURES OF THE PROJECT Project name Digging/ Excavation of Brick Earth for brick manufacturing from lease area (1.112 Ha) situated at Village Rampur Gosain, Tehsil- Musafir Khana, District- Amethi, U.P. Singh S/o Shri Brahma Dev Singh Pure dan singh, Medhauna, Tiloi, District-Rae Bareli Uttar Pradesh NEED FOR THE PROJECT AND ITS IMPORTANCE TO THE COUNTRY OR REGION For meeting the huge demand of bricks for building construction & infrastructure works of the State of Uttar Pradesh & its nearby cities and towns, the project site is at Village Rampur Gosain, Tehsil Musafir Khana, District Amethi has been found suitable from techno economic consideration. The mining project shall provide direct employment to the population nearby. 1.5 DEMAND-SUPPLY GAP The partial demand of Earth Brick in construction activities like building, infrastructure activities and construction can be accomplished from this mine. 1.6 DOMESTIC/ EXPORT MARKETS The proposed digging / excavation activity is for obtaining Brick Earth for manufacturing of bricks for indigenous consumption in Brick Kiln and also for sale to nearby cities and towns located in the state of Uttar Pradesh.

4 1.7 EMPLOYMENT GENERATION Local labors shall be engaged from the nearby villages for digging / excavation of earth and loading / handling of Brick earth. Total manpower required for the proposed mining project will be TYPE OF PROJECT The project has been proposed for an annual production of m 3 or MT/annum of Brick Earth by open cast manual extraction method upto 2.0 m deep in uneven vacant non agricultural land. The lease area is ha. land. 1.9 LOCATION The mine lease area falls in Gata No. 165, 183, 185, 118, 13 Village Rampur Gosain, Tehsil- Musafir Khana, District- Amethi, U.P. Excavated / Collected material will be transported simultaneously to the destined place. 2.0 SIZE OR MAGNITUDE OF OPERATION The lease area for Excavation is ha private land. It is vacant & uneven land. The project is anticipated to excavate the Brick Earth by manual open cast method of mining without blasting. 2.1 METHOD OF EXCAVATION Opencast manual method of mining without blasting is proposed. The opencast mining process for extraction of Brick Earth primarily involves scooping the soil through use of implements like spade, pick axe and shovel etc. The loading of mineral shall be done manually and transported by bullock carts. Local labors available shall be engaged for excavation activity. The transportation vehicles shall be engaged on contractual basis. 2.2 BLASTING No blasting is proposed to be done. 2.3 RAW MATERIAL REQUIRED ALONG WITH ESTIMATED QUANTITY, LIKELY SOURCE, MARKETING AREA OF FINAL PRODUCT/S, MODE OF TRANSPORT OF RAW MATERIAL AND FINISHED PRODUCT Since it is mining of Brick Earth, no any manufacturing process is involved; no raw material is required for extraction of Brick Earth.

5 2.4 AVAILABILITY OF WATER ITS SOURCE, ENERGY / POWER REQUIREMENT AND SOURCE Water Requirement Water requirement for human consumption, dust suppression and plantation is 4.8 KLD, which shall be met from nearby ground water resource i.e. bore well /Tube well Power No electrical power shall be required for operations. 2.5 QUANTITY OF WASTES TO BE GENERATED (LIQUID AND SOLID) AND SCHEME FOR MANAGEMENT/ DISPOSAL Solid Waste Generation & its Disposal No solid waste generation other than negligible quantity of screening of soil / green bricks is envisaged as all excavated / soil material will be scrapped & collected for reuse Liquid Effluent Domestic sewage shall be generated, which shall be disposed into septic tank followed by Nearest Railway station Nihalgarh Railway station, 10 km in NE direction Nearest Airport Road connectivity Nearest Town Nearest Village Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport Lucknow, 77 km in NE direction NH 56, 9.0 km in NE direction, SH-15, 0.5 Km in NW direction. Proposed Project will produced brick earth i.e m 3 or MT/annum from the lease area of ha, which will be used for making the bricks for meeting the huge demand of construction projects in Lucknow division of the state of Uttar Pradesh, and nearby cities and towns of Uttar Pradesh. *************
