Revised Change Order: $0 Contract Start: February 1, 2010 Contract Completion: October 31, 2010 Scope: Renovation of the 30,843 sq. ft. existing athletics building. Status: USS Cal Builders,Inc. began construction activities February 1, Field trailers for the Inspector of Record and USS Cal have been delivered on site. The removal of hazardous materials is complete throughout the west and east side of the existing gymnasium. The existing mens and womens lockers, benches, and restrooms have been demolished and disposed of. The existing team lockers have been removed and salvaged for reinstallation. The existing utilities have been capped off, and the building is safe to perform demolition activities. Removal of existing HVAC equipment and saw cutting of the existing concrete slabs for removal, will begin in early March Removal of the existing mens lockers and benches south. 2. Demolition of the existing hallways and staff restrooms looking east. 3. Demolition of the existing walls, ceilings, floor, and ceramic tile surrounding the existing whirlpool. 4. Revised Contract Amount $0 Contract Start: To Be Announced Contract Completion: To Be Announced Scope: The project includes the renovation of the existing fire lane northeast of the EEC Building and south of the Language Arts Building. The project will rework existing contours of the fire lane, while connecting it to the new Visual and Performing Arts Complex fire lane in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act requirements. Status: The contract for the low bidder, ASR Constructors, Inc., was approved at the Board Meeting. Construction is scheduled to begin mid March View looking west of the VPA North Fire Lane. Status: The project bid March 2, 2010 with the apparent lower bidder being Elite Landscaping, Inc. from Clovis, CA, with a total base bid price of $247, Bernards is currently in the bid verification process, and will make a recommendation for award to be submitted to the March 2010 Board Meeting for approval. Construction is to begin in mid April View looking east of the area to be landscaped south of the Performing Arts Building. 2. Campus Center West will be constructed in its place. Select modernization of Campus Center East will occur as well. Status: The Division of the State Architect has approved the project. The bid documents, final verification of the project/scope of work, and swing space plans are in process with the College, MDA Johnson Favaro, and Bernards. Status: The project is in the pre-design development / pre-construction phase. HMC Architects is working with Omnitrans and the College on the design issues of the Transit Center. Performing Arts Building, will be a three-story structure, including an art complex, digital media labs, photo studio, dance studio, and post-production lab, art studio, audio lab, interior design lab, lecture rooms, and faculty offices. Additionally, there will be a 5,500 sq. ft. one-story Music Rehearsal Building, and will include instrumental and choral rooms. The work was seperated into three (3) phases: Phase I-New cabling to the Fashion, Ceramics, and Music buildings in the Performing Arts Complex and the Physical Science Building; Phase II-New cabling to the Stadium Press Box and New Gymnasium; and Phase III-New cabling to the Performing Arts Building in the Performing Arts Complex. 1.
