2 Seminar Instructors: Jim Bochat Jim Bochat, President of Commissioning Concepts, has been involved in the Ari-zona Engineering and Construction industry for over forty years. His experience includes Mechanical Design, Mechanical Construction, Controls, Test & Balance, Commissioning and Retro Commissioning. Jim is a former NEBB President. He is a Life Member of ASHRAE and serves on the GPC-02, GL1.2, and PDC committees. Jim is a frequent lecturer who has presented commissioning topics for numerous organizations and events, including Greenbuild, ASHRAE, AHR Expo, PECI, NEBB, SMAR-CA, IFMA, Southwest Plant Engineers, the RMA Chapter of APPA, Western Area Power Users, and AMCA of Australia regarding Commissioning. Steve Wiggins Steve Wiggins is an Associate Partner at Newcomb & Boyd. He is the past President of NEBB and former Chairman of NEBB s BSC Committee. He has more than 30 years of experience in Building Systems Commissioning. He has been working in the built environment since Steve owned a mechanical and electrical company for eight years. After that he worked for the United States Air Force at base level and headquarters AFCESA as the commissioning and retro-commissioning expert. 3 8575 Grovemont Circle, Gaithersburg, Maryland Phone: Fax: About This Seminar: Whole Building Technical Commissioning of New Construction (BSC) is the process of verifying in new construction, all of the subsystems for mechanical (HVAC), plumbing, electrical, fire/life safety, building envelopes, interior systems, cogeneration, utility plants, sustainable systems, lighting, wastewater, controls, and building security to achieve the owner's project requirements as intended by the building owner and as designed by the building architects and engineers. NEBB s process is contained in the NEBB/ANSI Standard 110 Whole Building Technical Commissioning of New Construction which is one of the primary references for this seminar. The commissioning process main goal is to improve a project from the design phase through post construction and occupancy. This 3- day seminar provides attendees with information that will cover the following: Review of NEBB s Whole Building Technical Commissioning of New Construction program Review of the Commissioning Process with emphasis on: Development of Owner s Project Requirements documents Development of Commissioning Plans The Commissioning Communications Commissioning Communications Marketing Commissioning Services Estimating Commissioning Services Technology reviews of HVAC, Controls, Equipment and Control Components This Seminar has been approved for 21 Continued Education Credits
